When monsters turn to the side and look like they're trying to catch their breath while drooling, they're in a state called the clagger It lasts for 6 seconds By clutching onto the monster you extend the clagger for another 6 seconds Which is why they kinda flinch when you do it

Impressive. While I with Safi spread HBG that has Guard Up, Guard 5 & Shield 3 barely managed to finish the quest in time (needed a piece of the Velkhana Gamma gear). Had a minute or 2 left (30 min quest). Solo (saw that it's a hopeless cause with random SOS).

So the monster stands longer still. That way he can get more time for his next hit. You can watch him only do it when the monster gets thrown back by an attack and drools

@@dreemurrd7283 That's indicative of fatigue, not the clutch claw. The clutch claw is used to reset his position so he doesn't need to manually align TCS combo.
