There are lore reasons as to why they're so similar Basically it's the child of a rathian and kut Ku *Although I'm not really sure if that's canon*

@@appleotle4075 Same charged fireball animation. Same triple fireball pattern and animation. Same uppercut tail swipe. Mostly the same body (scales, back ridge, tail spike pattern, wing model. Generally the same model by the looks of it). Only things i can see that differ from LR/HR Rathian is the chin divebomb, scream posture, insta charge and normal charge. Which looks like it was taken from HR Paolumu.

You guys gotta realize game develops work with an engine that helps create these monsters, the textures, animations, movements and everything from each monster come from the same game developing engine so its only natural to see monsters with overlapping characteristics. But you guys are right in the sense that yian garuga is almost a combination of many bird and brute wyvern. Even the scream reminds me of a tigrex scream in terms of timing and area of effectiveness

As always I am amazed, how well you play with the charge blade. I get overzealous and over commit to savage axe mode and do way do less dps than you do with mostly sword mode.

Some event quests have an increased chance of spawning either really small or really large monsters - it's a common way to get crowns, and as a matter of fact you can see in the end screen that this was indeed a gold crown for smallest size :)
