My first experience with a Deviljho made me fear it for a long time. I was still doing the mhw campaign (my first mh game) and my friend had suggested I go for the sin and crime duel blades, so we started farming Odogaron. We were in the middle of killing one when I picked up some Deviljho tracks, thought nothing of it until one came walking down towards us. It was my first time seeing one and I was terrified and my friend was too so we ran away until the Deviljho walked off; however, instead of walking on the Deviljho looked at the Odogaron we were fighting and picked it up in its mouth. My friend and I were far enough away that it didn’t agro on to us so it just stood there, staring at us as the Odogaron was thrashing helpless in its mouth. We waited 10 minutes of that fight just watching it as it kept staring at us before it dropped the Odogaron and walked off. Been scared ever since

First time I saw Deviljho in MHW is when I'm quest hunting a Bazelgeuse, turf war happened then I just shot Dung pod at it then it left. After I slayed Bazelgeuse and carved it out he reappeared lol. Its like we're sharing a horrific experience over some scary monster in this thread and I'm just here shooting dung pods at it.

Old Jho: I could stand. New Jho: Worst Nightmare come to life, Suicide mission, Hunters asking for death. Edit: Savage Jho: He's either your worst enemy or valuable ally agaisnt other monsters. Example: Rajang: These two get into a turf war more than once. If you get Savage Jho to follow you while hunting Rajang, Jho can cause some damage to Rajang by just hitting him. Make sure you're out of the way when that happens.

@@moolate127 in the turf war yes, but jho beats pretty much every monster in ai vs ai, so MegaElbofo probably had to do very minimal work cause Jho was killing to shit out of Bazel

they are supposed to be equal, but bazel is easily get tripped by jho attacks due to how much faster jho moves are. so while bazel potentially could outdamage jho due to sheer of bombs he dropped during the battle, but the fact that he easily get tripped preventing him to do any good damage. Savage jho vs sheeting bazel would be much more equal since savage jho is very easy to get tired.

you can do that in world but, not quite to that degree. I tried fighting brachydios for the first ever time, with greatsword which I sucked at back then, and had a lot of trouble hitting him. but I got him to fight azure rathalos until he was exhausted and couldn't do much but limp and occasionally rage for a minute. Blue rath didn't do all the work for me, but he certainly helped.

I got into a turf war between a Jho, Dodogama, and Azure Rathalos. I died 10 times, Dodo was used as a weapon twice and ran off, and Rathalos barely managed to hold its own thanks to me tag teaming Jho before it too hold ass. Then is was just me, my shield, and Jho. Until dodo came back and shot me in the back. And that's how my first Deviljho fight went

If you want a nightmare, hop into G-Rank in MH4U and take on the lvl 140 Rajang duo. Or make a custom quest involving an apex rajang and an apex deviljho in the same arena. *There are tougher things in other MH games. Sadly, some are region-locked in Japan, I believe.* I was actually very pleased to have an actual challenge in this game (Tempered Kirin aside...).

I hunted so many Apex Deviljhos back when I had MH4U (had to swap it for MHG, not enough memory, though I managed to keep the save file). Once, in a duo Apex Jho lv 140 quest (I farmed Apex jho for zenith wyvern gems), I soloed one of them before my 3 teammates killed theirs. If there is a 140 king sized apex hyper tempered savage deviljho out there well, as Tai Lung said, "finally, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary."

​@@StarkSpider24 Actually, when I fought Glavenus for the first time during the village quest where you "stumble across him by accident," when he had triple the amount of hp, I managed to capture him after around 15 minutes to half-an-hour of both of us battering the crap out of each other, along with Gammoth and Astalos (I was using an Azure Bayonet, I can't remember exactly what level though, I think lv 2 or 3, it was a long time ago). Boy was it fun, and down to the wire; I had only one mega potion left, after using all of my potions and 9 mega potions.

I same thing happened, but the turf war started while they were in diferents heights, jho being on one very high area and bazel on a lower the bazel started flying as it was running away wich was pretty weird, but then jho did just like this video and jumped like 100m to start killing the bazel

I remember my first Jho. I was HR4 and some friends dragged me into a high HR fight. It was the Lagombi quest and I was falling behind when suddenly, fuckin JHO COMES OUTTA NOWHERE AND TRIES TO KILL ME. Long story short, I survived (after running for my life), killed Lagombi, and thanks to my GREATSWORD and Art (Aerial) I ended up being able to distract Jho while my friends finished off the Lagombi. Idk how my weak self did it but hey it happened and I dunno how

It took me at least a dozen tries to beat my first Deviljho, the one that had the annoying "partner" riding on it's back at the start of the fight I was seriously content to just leave it alone and let her be eaten, but I beat it eventually
