In that case I assume you’re gonna be redoing a large amount of runs with the new build to see how fast it goes?

It depends, cause this build is missing skills like Focus and Quicksheath , that are crucial in many runs, 1 of these or both at the same time are important, and other useful skills like Hearing or Punishdraw

Wow that's crazy. I nearly ran out of time doing this hunt even though I was getting in tons of charge attacks on his head. Do you develop the strategies yourself or is there some resource that details ideal positioning for monsters? I've always been curious how to consistently manipulate monsters to turn into my attacks instead of doing an attack that rotates them (Brachydios and Tigrex for example).

I learned the strategies observing strong speedrunners and optimizing the technique with my own mind, to help I can tell you that positioning is not only hitting the monster on the weak spot but also inducing the monster to do a specific attack that changes based on where you are that allows you to make damage in the shortest time possible, so for example Alatreon will turn around exposing the head for a triple charged GS attack if you stay at the correct distance (near the tip of the tail) and place(behind or nearby sides/behind) however if you fail the positioning it will do another attack and you will lose dps
