there is a passive bass radiator located at the back btw, still this MI speaker has a better price to performance ratio. IMO

Xiaomi for some reason didn't mention this anywhere on their specs page/pictures and I checked only on the sides but yes there is a radiator on the back. However, I clearly said the bass was pretty good anyway because forget about hardware/specs just experiencing it by listening I felt it was easily comparable to Jbl. It's definitely a good choice around this price.

Logitech X50 is my fav.But it's just 5w speaker. The tribit one costs almost double. Maybe look at boat or JBL itself. Mi is a more well known brand with assured warranty along with budget pricing. The key here is pricing.

@@tygovanbragt8111 The tribit maxsound plus provides the best sound quality for the price . Try the stormbox if you want better bass and kinda 360 sound. JBL Flip 5 is a better option if you can stretch your budget. One word of advice never ever go for boat if you want 'sound quality' otherwise the after sales and everything is quite nice for the budget. Logitech X50 although old it still is the best sounding speaker under 2000. Mi provides you with very neutral but good sounding quality speakers . Would have bought this MI speaker if I were on a tight budget.

There are no bass radiators. You have 2X 8W speakers on the front. Go Check the speakers' image on the official page with specs.

When taking calls via this speaker, the caller on the opposite side getting echo. should i initiate return? I have bought this device exclusively for taking office calls.

You made a wrong choice because generally on such speakers the mic isn't that great and the distance makes it worse.

Don't use speakers for calls/video calls since it causes echo. If you also call numbers that use iva it confuses the system due to the echo and terminates the call.

First listen and understand properly. Sub woofer is meant for bass on regular speakers/sound systems and for such tiny little speakers, brands use passive bass radiators, or bass reflex ports which are also meant for producing better bass. So in that sense, bass radiators on portable speakers are similar to the sub woofer on regular speakers is what I meant to say but a sub woofer is more powerful and listen to what I said at the end.
