At 6 years old, you may not understand a whole lot, but you definitely understand that all of a sudden, one day one of your moms just up & disappeared no phone calls visits ? As someone who helped raise my ex partners child for nrly 9 years before we broke up and this time we’ve gone no contact.I can give a different perspective on this Having another persons child in your life no matter if you love them as your own or not can be overwhelmingly confusing for the child especially when you still love each other but can’t be together for other reasons It’s too hard to have to say goodbye but no contact is even harder I honestly do feel like for me personally I have to do it for my own sanity and his fathers sanity We can’t heal around each other and it isn’t fair on the child to see the constant pain in their parents eyes Even at6 he picked up on this stuff as we broke up so many times it was disruptive to his little life I miss him everyday constantly every second I miss his little face his hugs the way he smells of candy and stale farts and fabric softner all at once and his cheeky little smile. I think she should allow her to still be apart of her ex’s daughter’s life
