I found it. In the Guardian newspaper. Aged men who listen to quiet, soothing music like Mia makes seem to provide relief from their form of dementia symptoms. Quiet and soothing! Who cares! They work for me. (I travelled all over Scotland. Music traditions in the Outer Hebrides are very enjoyable.) Everyone is invited to participate. Enjoy your tour.

Hey Mia - I think you are right in a comment below about being kind, talented, humble and grateful ... and you are most definitely all of those. There are a handful of others out here who have the same life view and I love supporting all of them. I've no time for the 'established divas' of this world who are 'too important' and I could name a few of those. You're amazing and a pleasure to follow ... I get that feeling about you that when you reach that million followers you'll still be true to yourself, your dreams and those who care about you. You're on a track to the stars Mia and every success will be so very, very well deserved. Awesome young lady! 🥰

What a blast! And yeah, it's such a bummer when you go somewhere and the hotel room is all palatial and you're just like "no, I don't want to sleep, I want to raid the minibar, lay on the sofa and watch a movie on the big screen". Don't give in to the temptation, it doesn't pay the dividends that sleep does.😊

The more you travel, the easier it gets. You learn all the tricks and shortcuts, especially when crossing borders. There is a big boat that takes road warriors to and from mainland Australia and Tasmania, overnight. It's called the Spirit of Tasmania. I hope someday you'll be on it. Or even better, fly into Hobart airport. You won't get lost in that terminal. I really enjoyed this video. Probably not as much as you enjoyed your trip. All the best.

Sounds awesome, I fly to Chicago today for 3 shows up in that area. Lately, I'm mostly tinkering with the gear to make small improvements toward reliability, redundancy, compatibility, speed of set-up/strike... all while trying to get it to travel safely and still move it myself through airports. It's/I'm a work in progress :)
@gerrywaneck377 Жыл бұрын
@@miamorrismusic I was 38 yo before I took my first commercial jet flight, and it was to Europe. You should be a pro before you turn 20. I went through a "gear-tinkering" stage in the 1990s. In this case, it was a 17" laptop, extra batteries, portable 3.5" hard drive, portable scanner, portable printer, camera and tripod, lots of printed material, office supplies, and poster-board panels - in addition to the regular stuff. I had similar problems getting through security, especially after 9/11. I'm still a work in progress, for different reasons now. Hell, I've always been a work in progress... Stay safe.

As a Artists assistant, stage manager, audio and video engineer with 20+ years "on the road" experience I like to say: You are great !!! I love your work ethos and talent but most of all the fact that you are really enjoying it all and appreciate the things and situations around you instead of complaining about little things. Love to see more of you and you'll never know, maybe once we will bump into each others path somewhere and I'll say a quick "hi" :) Greetz from The Netherlands(Europe)
@miamorrismusic Жыл бұрын
I really appreciate this comment and I'm with ya. I wear a lot of different hats because I'm often a side-man, sometimes the crew, sometimes the artist but regardless of the situation, (or the instrument) I get to tour with a lot of different people with very different music careers. This work isn't predictable or easy by any measure but the good parts can be magical and I've found that the people that last tend to be kind, talented, humble and grateful that this is how they get to spend their time. I hope to be in that category - Greetz!
@computerjantje Жыл бұрын
@@miamorrismusic Exactly. The fact that you get this already at your age tells me that you are and probably forever will be in that category. And exactly like you said, in such a state surrounded by others in the same state magic does happen. Are Mia & her Band back in the UK and NIR, or is this a delayed post from their first World Tour that went so well...I dropped my computer yesterday as part of the process of filing my income tax. It does not work well today. I could drive to Nashville but I do not have a valid passport. I would like to see this singing, dancing, drumming ingenue but I fear it will never come to pass. As for No One Cares--- like many others I had a strange feeling that I was listening to more genres of music all at the same time than I can name. After 20+ listens it does all come together as one song.

Globe-trotting Mia. Ireland, Scotland, England & Wales is a great band name. Did you get to explore any of these countries? It looked like a quick tour in and out. If I didn't know you were musicians, I'd think you were a team of assassins. Slipping into the country, eliminating your target and slipping out again. "For the last time, it's a kick pedal. I mean, technically you could kill someone with it, but the same could be said about a pencil. Ever see John Wick?" Too bad you missed a bunch of school again. At this rate, you'll never graduate (Just Kidding). I'm sure Frisco is glad you're home again. And maybe your parents are too. 😜
@miamorrismusic Жыл бұрын
haha :D assassins... The last time I was in the UK, it was for almost 6 weeks and I got a bunch of opportunities to explore. You are correct, this time was swallowed up with travel. The one period where i would have had some time off, I had scheduled an artist show of my own hundreds of miles away. I'm already scheduled to go back this summer so more chances to explore ahead!

Did you know that non alcoholic beer has alcohol in it. Despite its name, non-alcoholic beer is legally allowed to contain up to 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). A trace amount is permitted because the common methods for brewing non-alcoholic beer make reaching absolute zero rather difficult.

It looks like you're having an adventure. I lived in Wales for three years and loved it. Well, my friend, in an effort to keep you entertained, I have began to write you bad poetry, and will continue to do so until you turn one of these into a song. This first one is called... I can't think of a name for it. But you're from Tennessee and I thought I would be entertaining to write something that is a form of Tennessee word salad. Okay, that's the name: Tennessee Word Salad. Enjoy! Are you ready for this Nashville? ‘Cause this song slaps like Will Smith Hit it! We walked the line in Memphis Searched high and low for Elvis I ain’t nothing but a hound dog I’m Chris Rocking all the time I tried to be a country singer Like Taylor Swift but only bigger Singing at the Grand Ol’ Oprey Everybody would adore me. You were acting like a Grizzly Not even Titans could have saved me Now you’re just a Predator And I’m a Buccaneer We know I’m hardly innocent I took you to a honky tonk My karaoke game is Hall of Fame At 6:00 am we did the Walk of Shame You gave me a Jack and Coke And started laughing at your joke If you knew someone would card me At least give me Bicardi We got thrown out on Broadway And started walking home the wrong way Until we finally got to splitsville We argued all the way to Knoxville Do not return to Tennessee I would not give you a kidney Even if someone would pay me I’m eating all your sushi
