Mia's Reading Adventure: The Search for Grandma's Remedy is a game published by Kutoka Interactive, Inc. in 1998. It is the first game in the Mia's Big Adventure Collection series. In this game, Mia must find the ingredients for the medicine that will cure her ill grandmother. The player can move Mia around the screen by using the mouse and can click on objects to interact with them. There are also several reading-based challenges that must be completed along the way.

I know right?! I would actually consider doing fan made remakes of the first 3 games in the series (1. The Search For Grandma’s Remedy, 2. Romaine’s New Hat, and 3.Just In Time). Doing what the Crash and Spyro remakes did by not only reinventing the gameplay but also adding some continuity fixes like adding the characters that appear in the later games such as Mr. Mole, or the turtle and bird characters from Kidnap Caper and adding them into the first 3 games, and for the old school MIA fans I’d have remasters of the OG versions of the games as an extra (basically the OG games but with updated graphics that mimic the retro 3D style of the original games).

OMG! I was literally thinking the exact same thing!OWO I was wondering if I was not the only person thinking of preserving all of Mia’s PC adventures:3 This series means a lot to me, I might not have played the games growing up (as far as I can remember anyways:/) but I can tell Mia might have a little hope in her future! I really wish the series could return someday Mia deserves a second chance! They would have to jump through quite a few hoops to do so cause their original studio Kutoka Interactive went bankrupt back in 2017:< not to mention getting the rights to the series so that a new studio could revive the franchise, also I wonder if some of the people who originally worked on the series, drew the concept art for the cast and setting, and voice acted all the characters are still around today?? Hopefully so! The first game came out WAY BACK in 1998 and the fifth and final PC game came out back in 2007! So a lot of time has passed since then!:^ hopefully none of them haven’t passed away by now! I feel it would be fun to interview some of them and get to know the thought process that went into creation of The Mia Series:3 especially if Peebs got to meetup with some of the OG developers and have a discussion on the series featuring a little mouse and a poop spider that launched PeanutButterGamer into the mainstreamUWU, plus concept art was mentioned in the games credits and I really hope we could potentially see them one day

Recently I dug up my laptop, but I could only find one of the discs and I can't install it anymore, so I don't think I can ever play it again. I was disappointed. I just turned 18 and this game is the oldest memory I have. I believe I was in preschool when I played it on a local library computer. I don’t know why younger me was playing a game released in 1998, 11-12 years later, but I am so glad I finally found it. I also remember not getting far because I couldn’t read well😂

@@Twilink36 I was born in '96, and I remember playing this game when I was very young. Will say five or six years old. Technically I was the first year of generation z, And I grew up with a pretty normal lifestyle, and I enjoyed many things that the previous generations enjoyed like playing outside until dark, fitness, school, sports, driving a car, etc. One key distinction was that the internet was born right around the same time that I was. I grew up with moderate internet addiction, and video game addiction but it was nothing like what the youth experiences now. At that time games were designed to be incredible experiences that told incredible stories, whereas today they are designed with the intent to be as addicting as possible, and to create the largest dopaminergic response as possible. Gen z ended in 2013, and generation alpha began. Right around this time or shortly before, there was an unprecedented epidemic of anxiety, depression, and attention deficit disorders that we now know are related to smartphone addiction, Video Game Addiction, Internet addiction, and social media addiction. Then, in 2020 with COVID, We saw an entire generation have their development impacted. I didn't feel too affected by either of these events because I felt like I had already pretty much developed by the time both of them became prevalent.
