I like the fact that Tua has slimmed down. That will help with quickness and mobility. Tua is not known as a running qb. He's a high IQ, very accurate and his anticipation is second to none. With this added weapon " better mobility " i believe he will catch teams off guard at the beginning of the season and teams will have to game plan for that added element to Tua's game. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being critical of Tua for not seeking out a QB coach before now and it doesn't matter that others took longer. QB coaching is nothing new. It's been around for quite some time so it's not like Tua didn't know about it being available. Anyway, he definitely can benefit from the help. I'm glad he's doing this because there will be NO excuses anyone can offer up if he's still the same ineffective QB.

Tua is the franchise QB1 for the Miami Dolphins because of many reasons!!! Tua's first 2 seasons he comes in with a HC that was completely against Tua. Tua had WRs his first 2 seasons that were STARS here in Miami however when they left Miami they didnt make any teams and are out of the NFL!! Gesicki's career numbers are with Tua and WR Parker are the only other 2 left from the first 2 seasons of Tua passing to. Tua won more than he lost in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons under HC Flores. Under HC McDaniel Tua has won more than lost as well and people belamed it because of the weapons Tua has on the team which he does have weapons on the team these past 2 seasons however Tua has elevated their play as well. Tua has improved every season during his 4 seasons!!! Just for everyone that thinks Tua didnt have a QB Coach during the off season for Tua's past 4 seasons thats NOT true Tua DID have a QB Coach at Perform and had Nick Hicks training him. SMH!!! How wrong people were again about Tua!!! SMH!! Cant believe people think Tua was training without a QB Coach SMH!!! NOT TRUE!!! This is the season that he needs to prove himself. Last season was a team collapse not specifically a Tua collapse. I was at the Bills game at the end of last season. That punt return was a killer. The energy was returning to the stadium then it went silent. I recall thinking here we go again $@@&&! Without the punt return, they win that game. Combine that with awful collapse against Tennessee, the first playoff game would be at home and it could have had a different outcome. Each year they have improved, if that trend continues, this season will be special. The Bills are hobbled (no Diggs, I can’t believe that they will be as good as last season. the jest are the jest and the patsies have reverted to being the patsies again. The AFC East should be ours.

Tua isn't a bad QB, but he's not good enough to get paid and carry a diminished roster. But to be fair, the only active QB who proved he could get paid and still carry the team is Mahomes. Every other QB that got paid is just stuck trying to climb that wall while the talent around them disintegrates because of the salary cap. If Tua insists on league highest money, put the non-exclusive tag on him next year, try and trade him or let someone sign him, and hope to get something for him. Then let him explore his market in 2026, and see what he's worth. If he's willing to take a more mid level starter contract, then extend him and keep things going.
