This is exactly why I cycle solo. Absolutely no reason to be taking up 3 lanes. This is the reason we are hated on.

THey are zig zaging all the time like crazy with no reason.. It shows they have no decent riding skills.. I can imagine half of them would die if trying descent some big mountains in Europe lol.. When you go behind PROs they never change direction or speed without a reason. They even signal with elbows out that they will go out of saddle for example..

did you miss the cops on the turns and this is an organized ride with what looks to be a good 100 plus riders, I guess you want them to ride single file so cars can still close pass them and put them in danger. fun fact no matter how perfectly you act there will be someone in a car that sees you the same as a cockroach its a dog eat dog world on the streets in the USA.
@jirihutecka90203 сағат бұрын
@@scott8189 No single file. Just what about stay in one lane and not take the whole road?? I would be pissed as fuck as a car driver just waiting when some retard will zig zag with no reason into my lane under my car.

I cycle KB every wkend and I don't agree on taking up all lanes. This is in part the reason for the general dislike we have from drivers ( not to excuse drivers for how hostile they are either )

Those rides are sketchy af - no wonder why Florida riders are lost when they come out West where there are discipline and awareness on group rides. This video is like watching a bunch of ten-year-olds on Christmas day that just received bikes and they're out there trying them for the 1st time. SMH

It's unfortunate that it happens you do it long enough. You will one day hit the pavement. I hope everyone involved was okay, with no broken bones or bike damage. I always say stay alert, keep my head on the swivel, and practice good spacing. Try not to overlap wheels look to see who looks comfortable riding in the pack. I must say it looks like a fast fun group ride. kudos Florida cyclist

Riding like you’re on a closed road when it’s not is very dangerous

So Im on my way to Miami tonight for the week for work so I started looking up group rides about a week ago and stumbled on your page. Honestly, to say “riding in the peloton” is dangerous is disingenuous. I’ve done group rides all over and in these videos, the Miami rides look like chaos. Even our race sim rides have more structure, general awareness of what’s going on and honestly…more care for both the rules of the road and the other riders. I’m not sure why that is but it seems like it manifests itself into wayyyyyy too many crashes. Does someone lay down the expectations before y’all start (genuinely curious)?

I've raced cat 2 in dozens of countries and cities and the peloton is hella dangerous no matter how much you debrief and plan, that being said, yes Miami is the risk taking capital of the world and well, we do embrace this chaos and lawlessness And no, nobody lays down expectations, anyone who tries is told to STFU

Watch both yours and Eddie Alvarez's perspectives and gotta say I'm surprised this ride isn't crashier! Some of the moves riders are pulling out into traffic suddenly, taking up multiple lanes when they really don't need to, squeezing cars to the edge of the road or lane, riding in and out of the bike path intermittently with no signal given, some super sketchy pack handling (9:05 almost takes out the rider's front wheel just passing on the overtake with so much room in front and no need to veer suddenly to the right and almost does the exact same thing again 23:55) - just making it to the end of this ride rubber-side down seems like a victory in itself! It's absolute chaos at times but always a good watch, just hope people stay safe out there.

@@lucasbrunelleI think whoever goes on this ride pretty much knows what they’re in for & they’re used to breaking unexpectedly/ the occasional carelessness of some of the riders in the pack. You’ve done this ride many times & are the perfect example; you’ve witnessed this type of stuff before so I think over time you’ve developed the “avoid trouble instinct” 😅 I pray you remain blessed to continue safe out there bringing us great footage. 🙏🏼
