@BLACKSTA361 for real, they sat him with a team where they couldn't even afford to run 8 man rotations in the playoffs. A team where Jimmy would have to play huge minutes in the playoffs while effectively acting like the power forward because outside of Bam they never signed a single player that they could actually play decent minutes in the playoffs. You cant seriously expect a team of 6'4 guards to put in 120% effort every minute of every game for years on end vs teams that have more talent reserves and more size and athleticism. Thats just completely garbage roster management.

Did Herro not win 6th man of the year and average 20ppg for like the last 4 seasons? That's more than what other teams have. Who where the Heat supposed to get outside of Dame? Y'all acting like Jimmy is Steph and been putting up MVP seasons and all-time numbers and Miami hasn't gotten him anything like the Warriors. I am sure you ask Miami's front office they didn't even think they were a championship team in those two Finals run and they surprised themselves. Now everyone feels bad for Jimmy Butler? My guy he’s had problems on every team he’s been on, at some point it has to be on him as well.😊

In other words, Jimmy Butler is tired of carrying the heat.He wants to go to a team that has has superstars who can play for a championship. He mostly doing the work for the Heat with maybe Tyler Herro a few games.

The Heat organization as a whole is a clownshow. Riley doesn’t care about debauchery, degeneracy or what any player does as long as they kiss Riley’s ass. He rode Lebron and DWade’s coattails to 3 titles and then ran them out of town because they wanted a semblance of input and control over what goes on in the organization they’re leading. Butler took that sorry team to 2 Finals and Pat couldn’t get him any help, didn’t jump the gun to make any trades, but the second Jimmy comments on the Celtics, he holds a press conference? Dude wants to run the team like a mafia, winning be damned.

Jimmy got extended once by the Heat. He makes $50M a year for the next two years. The Heat are up against the second apron because of his salary. He never plays in the regular season so they become a Playin team. He is not a good team player. Send him down to Sioux Falls to play in the D league. He can dominate and get his numbers up. There is ‘joy’ to be found on the frozen tundra in January.

I’m a Heat fan and I don’t blame him wanting to leave for the fact that sleepy Pat failed him and never got a 3rd legitimate star nor made a single move that mattered. However, if he cared to win in Miami like he claimed, he wouldn’t care about the money and would take a pay cut for 30 mill instead of 50-60 so we can get legitimate pieces for another run. I’m a huge fan of Jimmy and I’ve appreciated everything he’s done for us including 2 finals appearances in 4 years which was incredibly special and I’ll never forget those runs. Thankful for these past 5 years of the Jimmy Butler era and wish him luck.. just really sad it had to end this way. Wanted him to retire on the Heat.
@BLACKSTA36117 күн бұрын
Why would he take a paycut? If the Miami Heat front office was serious it would be worth the risk. Theyre not tho

@BLACKSTA361to get better teammates and win obviously.

@ICONOCLAST are you stupid? Even when they had cap space, they did nothing. Why would Jimmy take a paycut knowing that Riley wouldnt do shit with the money except signing undrafted or average players. That makes no sense whatsoever. Its easy to say things like that when ur viewing things from an external pov

honestly you could make the argument that Bam and Tyler weren't necessarily "legitimate stars." Good players, but not necessarily quite on that level

The Heat-Celtics rivalry is deep! The early 2020s saw the teams battle to the finals and the Celtics won a championship before the Heat, only compounding what Riley said! Riley should’ve just let it be and be like ‘dats how we roll!’

As a Heat fan, I can say the Heat did what they shouldn’t have if they wanted to make the most of Butler and kept hiring new talent instead of building a chip-worthy team with established talent. Maybe they thought Butler and the coaching staff would condition & build this new talent, but Butler has chip aspirations and I don’t see him getting ready to settle down and become more of a mentor. At the same time, with the Dame trade for example, the Heat don’t have chips they can bargain with for decent trades. They don’t have decent picks, and of the players they can use as leverage, trading any of them would be a huge gamble to the safety of the team’s synergy when a new player (no matter how good) could risk it.

No..Jimmy Butler failed Jimmy Butler. Dude has burned bridges everywhere he went, and now at 35 with injuries he still has the same entitlement mindset he had when he was 25. Dude has become the Terrell Owens of the NBA

Agree with a lot of what you’re saying, but any atmosphere can muddy your joy no matter the money. Essentially, he lost the spark he felt for basketball. He’ll still do the work, but it’s still a form of expression.

Butler is an amazing player, amazing teammate, and an underrated superstar. The thing from what I understand is he was asking for a max deal, lets be honest, he is 35 years old people. You can pay him, but it wouldn't make sense from a business perspective. Also, Adding Dame is pointless because you need a ball distributor to feed the ball to the big men, he is a score-first PG, who doesnt play defense for S***. You guys got to abandon this stupid ass logic that adding an assload of scorers to a roster equals championship. Giannis will tell you he rather have Holiday of Dame. Jrue was an elite defender, looked for the pass first, and took smart shots. Bam is a 3 time All Star, 5 X All Defensive player Tyler Herro is the 6th men of the year, and Avg 20ppg Butler is a 6 X All Star and 5X All Defensive player. I agree they should have done more, but people need to understand between those 3 players the remaining options to add a player that fits the system is impossible. Who can you sign or trade for that will elevate this roster. Chris Paul is the best ball distributor, but his age is a question. Everyone else is locked in on their team.
