Great podcast… great to finally get really facts & not just “narratives” when discussing Herro. Looking forward to the facts about Rozier & Bam and not just “narratives” about them on future podcasts 👍

With no Jimmy in the playoffs, Tyler was exposed for all to see. He is not a number 1,2 or 3. He is too inconsistent to be relied on. He is clearly a 6th man. Pat calling him fragile was the nail in the coffin. He will be gone by the trading deadline and everyone, including him, knows it.

He's not even a number 5 for the team Miami chasing, the Brad Stevens built Celtics, Riley needs to "keep his mouth shut" and get a whale

The question is how many playoff teams would Tyler start for. His value starting for the Bulls is different than starting for say the bucks or okc, twolves.
@emoneyizhereson
@emoneyizhereson 5 ай бұрын
Herro is a better player than Beverly, who was a starter for the bucks. His lack of defense is the biggest thing holding him back, but he’d be a great starting role player for teams that need dynamic scorers

It's not only about where he could start its about which one of those teams would want his salary and what would they give up for him.

Leave it to the younger generations "the soft lol" to be confused about what Pat meant by "fragile." He absolutely did not mean Tyler is "soft." In fact altogether Pat said exactly the opposite. Tyler is a hard worker and fierce competitor, which makes him hard!! What he was talking about was Tyler's body has been fragile. The problem is Tyler has that rare body type "ectomorph" that is shredded naturally, but difficult to grow and keep muscle on. Even though every year he does ... it falls right back off. A classic condition of the ectomorph. This is a quintessential problem with his body type. Because Tyler is small, He has been fragile. But Tyler is not known to be soft, He is known to be hard. That is why he still plays for the Miami Heat.

I think Rileys presser was great but the fragile comment was something he wishes he could take back unless he has no intention of trading him.

Guys, seriously? Traditional stats are what you are using? Glad you didn't reference his +/- which is second worst on the team. Tyler's advanced stats are pretty embarrassing. Off/def rating are awful (108/114) and worse on the team. His value over a replacement is 0.1, which is laughably bad. His win share per 48 (since he didn’t play a full year) was not good, a .068. League average is .100. I could keep going but you get the drift. A majority of the guys you said wouldn't start over Tyler on other teams, I would trade for and be better off.

I've been saying this for Years... Tyler is a good/limited player... Key Word = Limited.... He's been Over Hyped since the Summer League.... He's not Close to Maxey and other Big Time younger players. His stats are deceiving, because he's played with 2 none score first players... Ps You're still taking Shots at Woj, after being SO WRONG, while Woj was RIGHT, give it up😂

Wouldn't Terry Rozier be the #3 guy now? Moving Tyler to #4. Making him the higher value trade piece over Tyler.

Every summer we talk about Herro putting on muscle, and 2 months into the season he's skinny as ever. He always works hard on his game, but Heat need a more durable 2 way guard.

I think Riley Knows he can't trade Herro right now becaise his trade value is low and becsis they probably genuinely believe there is still some room for growth. So why not take a little public jab at Herro, maybe he'll take it well and improve.

@@donjohnson3195 yes my guy . I’ve been saying it for years now when Jimmy got here . Since he was in his earlier part of the tenure get a guy or two that can alleviate pressure defensively for the man . Some reason everyone believe Herro would be that guy without 0 evidence of that being true . He not no damn bucket or a reliable shooter ,he’s streaky and since I see him and Duncan departing we need better than that .

I HATE the argument from people that if u have Jimmy, Mitchell and Bam that they won't have a bench. The Celtics have been the best team ALL YEAR. and there roster is top heavy Great starting 5 NO bench Pritchard, Hauser, Horford and Kornet are scrubs. they have no bench they stagger there best players around when Holiday and Tatum are on the bench Brown and white are still on the floor. The knicks I'm watching there whole starting 5 play 40 minutes they don't even play a bench it's so overrated
