Jim is a class act and will be missed walking the sidelines. I'm a kentucky fan who appreciates these old school coaches for what they've done for the sport. happy retirement coach, you deserve it as much or more than anybody.

Always enjoyed watching him coach and watching his teams. Even when my favorite team lost to him. One of the best.

Thank you for what you’ve achieved for the U! You have been truly great coach, educator and ambassador of college sports, but sadly the system and the mentality of college athletes have changed. His legacy, however, remains forever for all of Canes fans and families.

GMU fan here. Came for the coach L retirement news. College bball has been coaches leagues for a long time where coaches had all the power. Now the NIL has completely changed the landscape where the players have greater control and it should be. Not sure where the balance should be but I am sure we will get there one day. grats on the amazing career coach!

Sad! The current ways are hurting College Athletics. Loosing such Coach's of late is the first sign. Next you'll see some College's dropping some sports because they just can't handle the financial and emotional strain. Wishing Coach the best in the days ahead!

Crazy how right he is! its a damn shame 8 of those players left for the money!! its a joke man, you leave for a better chance at playing, sure i get that, but if your leaving to be greedy then goodbye. Congrats coach! Make a camp because your teachings will live on!

Nah you tripping. Most of the players won't make the NBA and they don't come from money. It would be crazy NOT to leave especially if 500k + is available. Forget a possible final four run and you broke after 😂

UNC and Duke have retired a lot of coaches, in the ACC.

Don’t blame the players for going after more money because coaches do it ALL the time. Get the money because those players have families too.

Got us farther than anybody else. Just a shame we can't get depth. We're going to have to shell out football type NIL money to get a competitive roster. This year is just pathetic.

When will the ncaa wake up? Losing great coaches who developed players without paying them

I thought Miami had a large booster club to pay these college players big NIL money. I guess they put all their resources into football

Damn mid season? At least do what Tony Bennett did. If they were winning he would have dealt with whatever issues they had
@byrongotgame22 сағат бұрын
Tony Bennett went about resigning all wrong as well. Pretty sure, Tony felt the same way at the end of last season before deciding to resign weeks before this season. He left all those kids and Viriginia in a bin because of that, definitely not fair to them whatsoever.

They players have no loyalty so he shouldn’t have loyalty the hell with it

Adjust or retire. Why you left GM for UM? Better gain? Kick rocks
