Fsu recruiting hasn't been up to par to balance out the portal especially considering the success Fsu has had until this year. Part of the reason Mario has been successful is because he is bringing in proven guys( unlike what Fsu did last year ) and most of them are in their prove it year. Norvell needs to go back to finding the diamonds in the rough like he did before last year when he fell for the shiny toys. Some of your guys took some lumps this year, but they will be better because of it next year ! Good luck on the rest of your season !

Also, Florida has the 51st ranked class currently on the 2026 24/7 Composite rankings, and FSU has the 48th ranked class. I know that you guys are using the On3 rankings, but the 24/7 rankings are more accurate, since they are an aggregate of all of the main recruiting services.

Miami has been the best program in the state since the 1980s and it ain’t even close. The last 20 years were a mix of ineptitude and lack of a buy in by the administration. Miami is still the big brand in state and has the most national pull. We recruited top level talent even on our worst days. When Mario Cristobal came to Miami it wasn’t just about him as a coach it spoke to the investment into the program. I knew once that investment returned it was only a matter of time

Every Miami fan knew Mario would be able to get talent. The man has recruited at a top level everywhere he’s been. The real surprise is that he’s been willing to adapt his personal offensive philosophy. Miami is not just a place e for big linemen and a power running game. It’s also a place with a wide open passing attack where quarterbacks can become Heisman contenders. If you sell out to stop the run, they’ll throw for 400. If you play to stop the pass, they’ll run it down your throat. Miami scored on all but one possession against FSU and that was their lowest scoring game of the season.

Mario can recruit all the best players in the state of Florida or elsewhere, only thing matters is can he get the job done? Mario’s weakness has always been coaching, look at his track record at Oregon especially with Justin Herbert and also his blunder last year against Georgia Tech. Washington State went 5-7 last year with Cam Ward. Cam obviously deserves the lions share of the credit, but to act as if he isnt doing this because he is surrounded by much better talent is laughable. We have a pretty good team right now already.
