It's telling to me that Inter Miami were so sore about losing the final last year with Messi on the field that they didn't even second their second team or their U-23s. Miami United and Miami FC are the torchbearers, and as an NYC FC fan who's only got his second team to root for here (if they even get particularly far), I'm rooting for them to show that there's more to Miami football than just Inter Miami (...yes, even if Messi's the GOAT). MLS base salary for a rookie sits at $67,360.00. If a player is drafted then I assume they make the MLS rookie base.
