I love these patterns and ideas but am a much larger lady. I found the easier way was to make one pattern draft that fitted ie back and front of trousers, then use those as a starting point for Mia's patterns...IE in this case I used the front and bacl of my pattern side my side to get the right hip/waist measurements then cut them out as one piece instead of two and also lengthed the waist so the waist band was integrated. If that makes sense. This is based on the old fashioned idea of a touille where you draft something that fits and then use it as the starting point for everything you make after that...

Ahem. As a significantly larger lady, I just use inches in place of centimeters for the width. Ie: where she says 53 cm I just go with 53 inches. It’s easier (for me) to adjust up or down from that point.

Lay out the layers of fabric to the number of inushed items required. Place your pattern piece on the fabric. Secure the pieces with weights then cut the stack with a vertical or rotary cutter. The electrical industrial version. Then sew. This stack of pieces are one size. Say 32. Then you do the same for sizes 34, 36 etc. This is how you save time and are able to achieve a high daily average of finished garments per month. Then you need an adjustable manaquen for sizes outside the standard ones. Measuring waists time and reduces the number of finished garments per month and income.
