I am currently working on a 1990 miata as well. this series is a HUGE motivation piece. broke and boosted as well. This is my first modded car and I am learning so much. Turbo, coilovers, sway bars, seats, hvac delete, you name it. I am learning so much. And only because you have given me the confidence with my back yard ass tools to do it. Thank you so much.

Hey Greg. I've been building my Miata for the past year or so. You can see my comments sprinkled throughout your videos. I'm not one to boast- but I have a super clean Cali 2-Owner (Same family) White 97 NA and I've been slowly adding parts to it for the past year or two while watching your videos. I never thought about it while building it- but my car is so nice now, that it's gotten to the point where driving HAS to be the experience. I would not longer drive it to a movie theater and have it sit out for 2-3 hours without me watching it. It has become an unfortunate side effect of putting so much love and money into it. I'm currently waiting on my happy meals clutch and I have a FM S1 (All about that carb sticker baby!!) Turbo kit sitting on my living room floor waiting for its moment to shine. I also have a set of RX8 injectors on the way- MS3Pro to come. I have the frame rails, the reroute, AEM fuel, water, boost gauges, struts, rear bash bar, full suspension (wheels, tires, coil overs, sways, brace, delrin, bash bar, exhaust, etc. etc. etc.) w/ a fabworkx double cross roll bar installed- as well as street cred JEC low profile heads, ducktail, bumper cut, robbins canvas soft top glass defrost, etc. for the exterior. There's not a single door ding on this bad boy. Even have custom plates. I bought everything in small chunks when I originally got it and I'm already at the point where it needs boost and I've used all your videos along the way Thanks so much for all your help and guidance man. When I owned an SRT4 in the military (San Diego) I used to clown on these cars- but now I own one and it's my baby. This is partially due to the fact that you can walk into multiple dealers and drive out with a near 11 second car. The game has changed a bit- it's no longer how fast can you go, but more along the lines of what car speaks to you and what can you do with it to make it yours. What car is the most fun for you and what are the reasons why YOU like it. With electric motors in the game now- those days of surprising corvettes, mustangs and camaros in a inline four are long gone (except for the hardcores such as yourself)- and although I miss them, I think this will allow the car enthusiasts to take a second hard look at the older generations of cars to help keep alive. Thanks for helping so many find their enjoyment in these cars and keep them running. I go on cruises with the MOPO Miata group and I can already see an issue with the turbo to where- TOO much hp/tq would just be a hindrance to me. I won't be able to take some of these turns at WOT with full confidence that my back end won't meet me around the other end of the bend. Even after everything I've been though, I'm still learning that is isn't just all about speed and HP. Stay safe. I'm always watching your vids.

Hi greg! I've been in the same boat. Just finished a long process (2 years) of rebuilding swapping the nb engine and tuning the car. Made 227whp on the dyno but my tune is kind of shit. The tuned it for max power and that is great but not for driving on the street. I'm impressed with how well you can use tunerstudio because for me it's so much to take in. Just fixed my idle issue that even the tuner couldn't figure out by changing the iacv frequency. It was humming so loud I could hear it in the car. Still likes to not catch idle during the warm up process so I keep a small rev going. I'm in PA and they said forged engine and cold temps right now are the cause. I have a feeling that when it warms up it will still behave the same way and they lied to me. Anyways 2 years of parts and troubleshooting. Hope I get to where you are soon!

That’s what’s up! Great NA build and power that is respectable. I can’t wait until affordable aftermarket turbo kits hit the market for my ND, also note as a ND owner I do truly miss the NA and you guys are not missing out especially because the ND is just as light with a little more power and efficiency and yeah it might be newer and slightly more eye candy though Mazda hit the nail on the head by following the original formula that made the NA great and made yet another masterpiece with the ND. But sadly I was contemplating dropping in a K series :( hopefully the SKYACTIV takes off and has more potential with appropriate built proofing components

I'd like to see you redo these test with a more appropriate drag alignment as well. 0*-+0.5* Camber in the rear on the Miata makes a tremendous difference in traction. Also considering that you're probably running far more rear camber than the cars you're comparing against, it would be a better representation as well.
