Amazing to watch, when you see this level of detail, that's why these guys are at the top of their game. Another great video from the European tour

Personally, and this probably applies to many other average players, starting a putt on the exact line intended is not difficult, but READING line and pace is a problem for me - capable of getting this _so_ wrong. If this is true for most people then time spent on the putting green would be most profitably spent reading a different putt for every single stroke, in effect focussing on reading different putts, time after time until hopefully something clicks. Here's a seriously effective tip: get hold of a longish builders spirit level and place it so it reads level. Look at it. Does it LOOK level to you? If not there's something you can do to improve your putt reading. Look at the level and tilt your head a little to the left and to the right and you'll find a slight head tilt where the level LOOKS level. This is because one eye is slightly lower/higher than the other. Practise and remember this slight head tilt and use it when visually assessing break. Before doing this I could literally read 2 balls left as 2 balls right - more annoying than whacking a drive OB. This is a proven tip. I hope players suffering this problem see it and benefit from it.

Really interesting to watch. The other thing that's interesting to me, is that most of the pros on this green choose to wear shorts. When will the tour emerge from the dark ages and allow all pros to wear them?

What a load of 🐂💩 talk about over complicating things, I never understand training aids for putting there like a dummy, if you start crying on the course you can’t have your dummy, I think practicing with feel and your own eye is something that you can actually take on the course, not a level and some lazers

People saying this is detailed and amazing. I'm afraid this is rubbish practice. Little bit of stroke work and alignment is fine, but lose the laser and levels FFS. Rosie needs someone telling him some positive vibes going into a tournament, this guy is nowhere near confident enough to be feeding into a pro of this level.
@jeremyl14173 жыл бұрын
DeChambeau practices way more detailed than that and is a Top10 putter in the world so.... And by the way how do you know that your aiming is good without using a laser or at least a string? I assure you the number one problem in a amateur‘s putting is 90% of the time that s/he is misaligned and NOT the stroke.
@John_Wood_3 жыл бұрын
@@jeremyl1417 Bryson's practice might have some structure and planning. This here is just pseudo science at best. Plenty of ways to practice alignment and stroke. But running about the green with a laser and level stinks of snake oil salesman. If this is the level of guru on tour I might change career path!

Phil Kenyon is one of the best putting instructors in the world. Coaches tons of guys in tour. Mcilroy and many others. They are doing very simple stuff that 98 percent of the other guys on tour are doing as well. Slope percentage,(read) aim, start line. All very basic stuff.
