See this is what I love about BTS. Watching the making of this video all of their videos are like 90% real. The fire, the explosions everything. 6:12 is one of my favorite parts of this mv. The background behind JK is not a mirror (notice how you don't see the camera or any of the other members in the background), so they had to do two different filmings of him dancing, one of his back and one of his front, and mash them together. It really shows how in-sync and consistent they can be when they dance

Even though it opens up with Steve Aoki‬, the song itself is written by BTS Leader “RM” (comes out of ambulance with his crazy flow) which was inspired by Obama speeches; Mr. Aoki collabed with BTS to make a remix of their original song “Mic Drop” and he was featured in their music video. Mic Drop was the first BTS song I heard. I didn't even know who BTS was until one day I was watching Ellen DeGeneres and this really hot band of guys took the stage by storm with Mic Drop. I was mesmerized by them. As soon as they were done and she thanked them for performing and said "give it up for BTS", I've been hooked ever since. Also in case you didn't know, people at that time were accusing them of lip syncing. So instead of arguing or snapping back, Suga did something amazing. I can't believe Blaze and Adam have never seen "Mic Drop"! It's such a gateway song, in a way - so many people that I know who weren't Army became Army through this song. I definitely started paying much more attention to BTS after I saw this. Nico, I know the feel when you mentioned how differently this MV hits now that you know everyone. I remember watching it and *immediately* stanning the rapline (Hobi jumping the table, RM and that ambulance, Suga dropping the mic at the end), but even though I've seen it a ton of times, I still find little bits to enjoy (this time, it was Jimin's flying and body control during Suga's verse). As mentioned, this is pretty much their last "angry" diss-track. You can see with stuff like "Ddaeng" and "Ugh" that now, they're just flexing and enjoying themselves, but this one has some fire in it ("I'm sorry mom your son is too famous" SUGA PLZ). Adding my recommendation for you guys to watch the MAMA 2017 performance. Not only is the "Mic Drop" performance epic with THREE dance breaks, the intro is a mini-version of "Cypher pt 4", and it's amazing. The visuals for it are just stunning.
