Dallas Cowboys news today is led by drama stemming from Malik Hooker’s appearance on the Keyshawn Johnson podcast “All Facts, No Brakes.” Hooker, intentionally not, criticized Micah Parsons and his podcast, which led to Parsons responding on social media. It’s another example of the Cowboys drama that helps lead to Cowboys rumors around Parsons and the team.

Malik Hooker on Micah Parsons and his podcasting: “My advice for Micah would be: just know we’re all right and being where your feet are. Because if we’re at work, and the run game’s terrible, but you’re doing a podcast every week and you know the run game is terrible, then what are you really caring about? Are you caring about the crowd that ‘s watching your podcast? Or caring about the success of our team and the Super Bowl that we’re trying to reach?
“But also, people got to remember Micah’s young. He’s still trying to find his way, he’s still trying to grow into who he’s trying to be. So I give him grace. Micah’s still a big kid. And you can’t fault a big kid for trying to expand, as well as experiencing stuff that they ain’t really been through. Micah’s only been in the league four years. There’s still experiences, stuff he ain’t been through. He ain’t ever been through real adversity yet. He hasn’t seen that. So I feel like, over time, over these next couple years of experiencing adversity, you’ll see him start to change how approaches stuff like that, like the podcast and stuff like that.”
Micah Parsons didn’t take too kindly to those comments from Hooker. Tweeting and then deleting this: “Just wish you said this to me but instead on some podcast! And you got my number family! @MalikHooker24 and you my locker mate! So you coulda said this any day! And you do realize I shoot the podcast on our off day! I why ain’t we talking about everyone preparations and focus.”
Cowboys Report host Tom Downey doesn’t like any of this drama between Parsons and Hooker. While it likely will be water under the bridge by the time Cowboys Training Camp starts next month, it’s a distraction and needlessly messy. Both players made valid points, but were also hypocritical as well.

I said this BEFORE the draft. I was hoping the cowboys would trade Parsons during the draft. Cowboys could have gotten 2 number 1's for him and really fox the O and D line. Parsons is too concerned about being famous, than caring about his football career.

Well, 💣 Tom Downey 💣 I agree 💯 with your take and wording of this content... AWESOME But I've 2 questions If you had Malik on your show and the subject of MP11's podcast came up... Would you mute-out/edit what Malik said in the interest of our beloved team? 2ndly Isn't far more harsher criticism (unbeknownst to the public) brewing on every roster? Iow This is SO sports and 🏈 that it may be newsworthy... @WhatGoingDowney I was in the middle of typing my response, but then deleted it, because you then literally made the same exact points I was going to about the situation. I guess great minds think alike, am I right? 😂. But also, how is homeboy gonna call out a player who's younger than him, and already way better at his position(HOF trajectory), than Hooker will ever be at his? Especially his own defensive teammate. Being the Cowboys, it doesn't matter how good they are, they're already the most polarized, talked about and scrutinized franchise in all of sports. They could be the best team in the league and just won a Lombardi, and they'll still be under a microscope. So given the current state of our team, why give the talking heads on every platform across the nation more storylines to twist and added distractions. He should have known what the outcome would be. So to spin one of Hooker's own gripes about Parsons; you could say Hooker should be more concerned about winning a championship and getting better, than(like you pointed out Tom) going on a podcast to publicly criticize a teammate about doing podcasts lol. This is one of the things that drives me nuts about us, that people mean when they say "it's just the cowboys doing cowboys things". Which goes to a deeper point of this being a result of not having commanding front office and coaching staff. Every organization has in house issues, but the most successful ones don't have these issues to this extent this consistently.
