I have never owned a helicopter but I've certainly felt pretty choked up any time I've sold a car I've loved and enjoyed for years. It's not the end of your helicopter story, though, just the end of the Enstrom chapter in that story, and it sounds like a new chapter will begin before too long. As great as the Enstrom was, this next one will be even better, as now your wife and daughter will become much more a part of your helicopter adventures--between the full-size Bronco on and off-road and your next helicopter above ground,, you'll either have to get a boat after that or take the family out into space as the next steps (maybe Elon will have the whole Mars thing figured out by then). And like others on here and as you said in your video, it sounds like the Enstrom is going to a great guy who will give it a great home. Hope he has a safe and fun journey back home to Florida.

@harsep3 жыл бұрын
Chad how many stops did you make with the Bell 47 from Phoenix to Sarasota? With the Enstrom you fiqured at a cruising speed of 85 mph and duration of 2hrs thats a range of around 160 to 170miles for every fill up. I'm sure the Bell 47 had a smaller range than the newer 280.
@chad57113 жыл бұрын
@@harsep It's been a loooong time, but as I recall with the 60-gallons of fuel and about 90-mph cruise we had right around 280-300 miles of range? Chino Airport was the place Me and my son got a ride on an Enstrom 280 a long time ago. Used to fly Cesna 172's out of Cable Airport where I got my ppl. Met this Chinese businessman that makes bathroom fixtures at a Rc flying field and he offered me a ride on his 280. Flew to Chino on the 172 and actually found out he had several helicopters. He offered to just take me or also take my 10yr old but he had to confiqure the 280 for 3 people. He flew us out to a ranch half an hr away to show the 280 to a potential buyer who already had a Bell Jet Ranger and an arerospatiale gazelle parked in one of his barn. That was quite an experience at that time.
