Also, this isn't to bring up the GOAT debate - But I've heard a lot of people say that nobody has ever had higher expectations and pressure coming into the NBA than Lebron. However, LBJ was a good high school player. MJ won a NCAA championship, beat the NBA All Stars 8-0, and won an Olympic gold medal. Now let's talk about some expectations and pressure coming into the NBA.
@punkem7332 ай бұрын
Magic said at those Olympics said Jordan was the best player in the NBA. Before his first NBA game. You don't here other stars in other leagues say shit like that about any rookie.

11 rebounds, 9 assists, and 19 points in TWELVE minutes? For a college player to lead a team of college kids against NBA All-Star players (Magic, Bird, Isaiah Thomas, etc) and win all 8 games is CRAZY.

@@patriciasmith8358Isiah’s dirty gameplay is the reason he wasn’t on the Dream Team!!!….The whole world saw how he had his teammates rough up Jordan and his bulls teammates, especially when he lead them to walk off early when they got blown out of the game! MJ told the Fiba president that they can pick Isiah but he won’t be on that squad, they ended up choosing Air Jordan!

Development and Growth is part of why kids stayed in college. It was typical to stay at least 3 years to ensure a well rounded game going into the pros. In other situations the rules have not always allowed kids to go straight to the pros out of high school or even after one year. Those rules also had to deal with trying to make sure kids were mature enough to be pros, from handling money to being responsible enough to handle all the requirements of being a professional outside of actual basketball. It's why the league looked so much older back in the day, dudes were already 21, 22 years old when entering the league as opposed to 18, 19. Moses Malone got in during one of those times they allowed early entry. Kobe, KG, Jermaine O'Neil all got in during relaxed rules. Mike was still a question mark after 2 years. After 3, they knew it was time.

You cannot compare today's playoffs or regular season PPG with 3 pts and lack of defense with that era. The best proof that there is actually no defense in today's NBA is to compare the average number of points this season with the one in the NBA finals when they made a special effort in defense to win the title. The result: in most cases, the losing team did not exceed 100 points.

Great reaction young fella. Magic Johnson was my favorite player but I gotta give credit where it's due. First player to have 200 steals and 100 blocks. And did it multiple times. (Scottie Pippen dod it too once). Nobody has had a 3000 point season since Jordan. It's easier to score today,(less physical and rule changes like no hand checking and more) and still nobody has done it. He played all 82 games . Load management was not in his vocabulary. The NBA and ex players are still eating off of what Jordan did. Great reaction. Yo. Check out Roy Jones Jr "Perfect fighter"..

Fam Mike and the bulls put smoke on them Detroit pistons. Now you heard Isaiah say that he was the best basketball player he ever seen. That’s because Detroit beat them two years in a row, but once Mike and them got over the hump on the documentary you watching now Isaiah started hating on him, he always say that you know that he was better than that, that’s why him and Mike fell out. Isaiah was very jealous, and Mike was shitting on some real ball players out there.

Ncaa added the 3pt lin in 86... Jordan never played with a 3pt line until he reached the nba...this is why he, and many others, didn't shoot them much Edit...I did just look it up...there was some conferences with a line prior to 86...86 was the year every college had one....and I saw that the ACC did have a line as close as 17ft at one point but couldn't find when that started so that could be a 3pt line but I'll let someone old enough to remember first hand to confirm

I feel like a lot players today are just insecure and afraid of criticism.. they're afraid of losing and being made fun of.. it's the same with defense as well, they're afraid to challenge dunks and be on posters so often times they just move out of the way without even attempting to contest.

The reason I always pick Mj and Kobe over lebron is that those 2 never needed to create a super team with all stars and look where it got him still fewer championships and more losses than Mj and Kobe I think it’s because Lebron isn’t a 2 way player anymore or as a joke the monstars took Lebron talent. Joking aside. The best players went to college to better themselves and they actually listened to their coach what would Lebron be like if he listened to his coaches plus those that don’t go to college their egos go through the roof I think that lebron would be a 2 way player still if he went to college because he would not care about stats because in my eyes someone who cares more about stats then winning championships will always be 21 or lower on my top 20

The Team USA Jordan was on in 1984 was actually pretty good.. it had Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullen, Alvin Robertson, etc.
