Steves performance of Michael Scott is a Master Class in acting. The reason why i think Michael is such a great character and Steve is the perfect actor for it is that just when the show pushes Michael to the brink of the audience hating him, he will do some gesture of pure kindness, or an act of complete selflessness which will redeem him and it will remind the audience that Michael has a good heart and means incredibly well but that he just is completely and absolutely socially inept.
