My Dad Robert Curtin (DECEASED) built one with an 18 foot wing span. It sits today in the Curtis Wright museum in New York. Pre cell phone video days. It was perfect and flew great. At the time it was the biggest RC flying boat. Amazing since he had horrible arthritis with twisted fingers. Yours is great to see since I lost the videos I had. His was in RC modeler magazine. 1995 or so

It would have been nicer if the announcer was not talking so much and the music was left out. Most people want to hear twelve engines in perfect unison. That is an accomplishment in itself. Well done Sir that is a very classy plane.

This sucker is huge. As if the original blueprints were used to create this scale-down model. Looks so authentic. When there's nothing to scale it against, looks and sounds like the real thing. Not having water around to test a water takeoff and landing, misses half of this model possible capabilities. Amazing! Thanks for sharing.

DO Does not stand for for this air craft, it stands for "Dornier." Just like when Boeing and Airbus name their air craft; Airbus 380 (A380) and Boeing 787 (B-787 or just 787)

I've seen this before, and I believed I commented that this old girl would be impressive landing in water, if possible. But I know there are no lakes or ponds near by. Gorgeous example nonetheless.
