im a blues player but could always sing this stuff better than what i play for money. i always said i would sing this stuff exclusively if i could make a living at it, but it was seemingly impossible in todays world. then this guy comes along and is filling arenas and NOT selling out the true spirit and passion of this great music. his persona and delivery are all just an added bonus to the gift he gives by letting younger generations hear what truly great music sounds like. cheers michael

WOWZA~ I mean, it's great to hear this again after so many years. Yes, everyone knows it was written by Leon Russell, and many folks covered it, but it really was the Carpenters who took this one to the bank. The 1972 album titled "A Song for You" had six A-side single releases. I personally own and treasure a gold plated printing of the CD offered to collectors in the mid 90's.Anyways, Hearing Michael bring this song back for new ears is wonderful. It's a happening version & I love it!

I introduced MB to my husband & he asked how long we'd been in Vancouver and after we had a jam session, not only closing down the place, we kept on going into the early a.m. We kept going to various gigs all over Canada and the three of us have been together ever since!
