If it’s not benji, i won’t watch anymore. They were gaslighting us throughout the whole promo season, its so disappointing. They deserve to grow stronger from the struggles they went through. I don’t like the idea that just because victor befriended another gay guy, he‘s suddenly confused when he is literally head over heels in love with benji. Rahim and victor are good as friends. rahim deserves his own love story thats not tainted but drama and unnecessary love triangles

I 100% agree! Everyone who has asked me how I liked this season, I’ve told I was really disappointed with the second half. The last five episodes felt like there was so much forced and unnecessarily messiness and drama. I was also disappointed with the direction they took Rahim’s character. This was a perfect opportunity to show that, like Simon and Victor, two gay men can be good friends, and don’t have to want to be with each other.

If you haven't seen it yet, might I recommend a short web series called Skam? It's a Norwegian web/social media series that began in 2015 about teen issues at a highschool in Oslo. Each seaon features a main character and all other characters react from his/her POV. Most of the actors are at or near the age of their characters, so you actually see them maturing as the seasons move along, zits and all. The show became so popular -by word of mouth- that fans translated it into several languages. Other countries then bought the rights and adapted the show for their own youth. I recommend watching Season 3 first, then going back to S1 of the original Skam. And if you enjoy it, please watch Season 3 of Skam France - the most cinematographic version - and WtFock, the more gritty Belgian version. You can find links at a website called AlllofSkam (the site got hit by bots and changed its name by adding an extra l). As you said about Love, Victor, I wish Skam had been around when I was growing up.

I don’t think that’ll happen. I just hope that if the show does break them up, the fans can be mature about it and accept it. Of course none of us want it, we love these two together. But if they want to show how first relationships are rarely ever your last, they’re allowed to do that and I hope people can learn to accept it. It’ll suck at first of course it’ll be heart breaking but I think that would be the point... first heartbreaks are hell... but we all go through them. We didn’t get to see that with Simon because him and his boyfriend lasted.. that’s unrealistic, that’s not how it works for most of the world lol. So if they wanna be realistic I won’t even be mad but OF COURSE it’ll be heartbreaking to feel their heartbreak.

Even if George is not cut off from the show, Benji will be just a backdrop character, with very few screen time. If victor chooses Rahim, season3 will be all about their relationship with maybe Benji showing up here and there. Benji will become something like Wendy or Victor’s teammates. If you think about, in S2 Benji is there just as support character for victor. He just basically shows up with Victor. The only scene he’s in without victor is when Izabel talks to him.

Great interview. You (Chris) got to tell Michael and George how utterly believable and natural their intimate moments in the show are, and I heartily second that. I wish I could tell them myself, but you were my proxy and did it for me. I cried at the end of episode 4 because the exchange of "I love you"s and the intimacy that followed was so perfectly-timed and beautiful and joyful and without the slightest hint of discomfort. The ending of episode 2 was similarly moving. For me, these are among the most moving and beautiful scenes ever produced in gay-themed cinema, like the endings to Latter Days and Longtime Companion. So how could I possibly be in any camp other than #TeamVenji ?

Both Victor and Rahim's popularity has taken a hit with this overly sudden, non-sensical "love triangle" storyline, which needs to be repaired asap so that Rahim can have his own independent romantic storyline with the required love, support, and enthusiasm of the global fanbase) 5/ Victor and Rahim work better as good friends > And having Victor suddenly fall in love with the FIRST new gay dude he meets is lame, cliched, and lazy script-writing from a talented team capable of far better storyline development! BETTER QUESTION IS WHY WOULD BENJI STILL "CHOOSE" TO DATE TRUST-BREAKER, SERIAL KISSER VICTOR? {Most of the tsunami of EXTERNAL obstacles thrown at Venji's relationship by the writers have mostly been from Victor's side in dealing with his "coming out" drama! What happened to the sweet, thoughtful and "romantic" Victor of season 1 who Benji understandably fell for, minus all of his season 2 self-centered, sad-sack "coming out" drama?) VICTOR ENDS UP WITH BENJI BY THE END OF SEASON 3 > WHY? 1/ Disney/Hulu + Producers bottom-line biz objectives are Ratings / Renewals / Spin-offs / PROFITS > achieved by giving viewers what they want and expect to see > And recent polls confirm 75% of fans want endgame Venji! (ALWAYS REMEMBER FOLKS THAT HOLLYWOOD IS A BOTTOM-LINE $$$ BUSINESS!) 2/ Viewers have invested 2 full seasons watching the carefully written and developed Venji relationship. Producers spent months casting both characters for their superb chemistry > Season 2 billboards featured Venji together prominently. IT WILL TAKE SEVERAL S3 EPISODES FOR VENJI TO REPAIR THEIR RELATIONSHIP > JUST IN TIME FOR A MUCH HAPPIER JUNIOR PROM FINALE > SINCE EACH SEASON COVERS ROUGHLY 6 MONTHS IN VICTOR'S LIFE Victor will need to regain Benji's trust after blabbing his AA secret to Rahim, then inviting him to the wedding, asking him to slow dance, failing to shut down his kiss, and admitting to Felix that he "felt something". The predictable storyline to achieve this happier expected outcome for most fans will be Benji's alcohol relapse battle which Victor will be there to help him through > a welcome change to see Victor providing love and support, rather than receiving it in spades from Benji and others in his "coming out" journey during the first two seasons! (CUE THE PREDICTABLE EPISODE 10 CROWD-PLEASING "KING & KING" VENJI PROM DANCE SCENE!) it is truly sad that some so called "fans" of the are taking things a little too far with Victor/Benji or Victor Rahim. I don't think many of them have even watched the show. And too many can't separate the show from reality. And some are making unwelcomed comments about it all and even saying things to the actors. Bebe who plays the character Lake has read some of those comments. And she's in disbelief what's being said as the shows about love and acceptance. what sucks about season 2......is being in a country that has to watch on Disney+, we get drip fed the season so to hear and see drips and drops of different episodes is truly annoying....as for straight actors playing gay roles.......I'm against it.....I put it down to the same as a white man playing a black man in black face.....truly insulting to our community......I believe there needs to be more LGBTQ parts written into shows and movies, that not only will provide more opportunity for LGBTQ employment, it will also move our community more into the mainstream of everyday life.....cause Bebe say's it best "I'll drop these gays as fast as a corporation after pride month".......kudos to Michael and George for 'playing' a good part....but they are taking employment from a community member and won't be living this life...for life.

No throuple !!! Victor the character seems smart and thoughtful so Benji makes sense. Rahim is a safe choice, but what if he didn't give Benji one more try? Rahim said he'd wait & his character wants Victor be sure that Vengie is over. Now being teenagers, all bets are off. June 2022 is too far off. I'm in my mid 50s and straight, love your show (I really tried to find out who's doorbell Michael rang. Didn't see any white & brick for Rahim's door and in E8 there was no doorbell at Benji's, hmmm)

why do you think there's no chemistry? One of the highlights of the show is how comfortable Michael and George are doing the intimate scenes. You don't want to choreograph something, that's when it seems unrealistic, especially because the characters are teenagers.
