"We come out of the crowd, strike the enemy and then vanish into the crowd again," One of the best explanations of Guerrilla Warfare I have ever heard. And because they don't wear uniforms, they are virtually indistinguishable from regular civilians. Which makes the Occupiers task of weeding them out close to impossible. What's also interesting is how Guerrilla Rebels budget their weapons like it was money. Because to them it is. Those are their resources. They account for every bullet they use. To make sure they don't waste even one. Notice also how Collins is teaching them that ANYTHING could be a weapon. Part of the problem with a regular army, is their tunnel vision. Their idea that only guns and grenades and bombs are weapons. But everyone has a weapon at their disposal even if they don't realize it yet. He's teaching them to be aware of their surroundings and how to use them. Which is key to Guerrilla Warfare : Turning your background, any background, into a military base. Using the land as your weapon and your armor. This is why the Guerrilla can still defeat or hold back an army for years. Even when the enemy has advanced technology and superior numbers. This is how the Zulu killed so many British soldiers with spears even when the British had better weapons. And finally, he's training his Guerrillas to fight like a regular army. So that way, they can learn to become regular soldiers when the time comes. When they have enough numbers on their side. When they have enough advanced weapons and resources that they steal from their enemies. When they are ready to leave the Guerrilla Phase and become a Conventional Army that can engage another army in Open War.

So many great things to say about this scene and movie, even right down to Chris Menges' cinematography. But I will say nothing better than going on a raid in a three piece suit. Man no one knows how to dress nowadays.
