Michael's breath control near the song's end is incredibly striking and quite frankly unbelievable. I just don't know how he jumps octaves at triple forte and then holds a perfect whole note at pianissimo with perfect pitch and vibrato. This goes on forever as Christ's love does...

I remember staying up until the end of the David Foster's Christmas special to see Michael Crawford sing my favorite Christmas song. And since then most others have not even come close. It takes a strong tenor to hit that Noel with such power. I play this version every year. I love this traditional and beautiful rendition.

Crawford has the voice of an angel. He can sing me into heaven any time. The performance with the Trans Siberian Orchestra is pure perfection. This is very close. My all time favorite, no one can come close to doing this song as good as Michael Crawford.

I totally agree with Russell Smith. I heard Michael Crawford sing this several years ago at work, and turned it up really loud as soon as it started. I was completely 'blown away' I have his Christmas album now and play it over and over again at Christmas. It builds and builds till you get to the end and then he hits that high note TWICE .
