Andromeda Strain was my first grown-up sci-fi read. Thank you, Dr. Crichton!

Didn't know that the author of the famous Jurassic Park novels has a Medical Degree from Harvard Med School. 23 years later after this interview, the first Jurassic Park movie will be released and I can say that his works relating to Jurassic park is now the Medicine that I am using to brighten up my gloomy days. Thank you Mr. Crichton and may you rest in peace.

yeah he was very prolific... he also created ER (TV show). but to be fair, Harvard's acceptance rate in 1960-1964 was about 30%, now it's 3.2%.

The 70s were crazy, his casual dropping of the n-word at 5:16 just comes out of nowhere and nobody even reacts 🤯

The naughty word.
@paulburket Жыл бұрын
He sure did. So in 1970 the public use of ‘the word’ was already being self-censored even if it’s being used to recount the terrible thing someone else said? Bill Maher wasn’t told/forced to stop doing that til only a few years ago.

Is this channel ever going to show Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason and/or Art Carney? I don’t have the Decades network.

have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rare much like the other Cavett ones.

Charlton Heston had values. Never have values in the place of better information.

Didn't Heston and Crichton both die in the same year 2008?
