People forget that from 1972 - 1976 he did a cop show on television called "The Streets of San Francisco" with Karl Malden.

@@peterarmstrong8613 Great movie and wonderful cinematography. Was the great horse jump over the ridge by Tom Burlinson real, or were special effects involved? It was a spectacular scene!

It was the first film to reach the standard of excellence of Hollywood filmed on Australian soil.

@TheRussRave Real jump. Tom went for the part of Frank Sinatra in a movie, he didn't get the role but got the part singing. Poor guy who got the role was dubbed 🤣

The USA is a nation state. America is a continent with areas of it's land mass termed nth central and sth. Yanks always want to be the biggest/best at everything but geography never has been their strong point but they get away with it and others surely follow. The USA is not a continent ... it's as absurd as calling France Europe.

Aussies might be taking over Hollywood, but back home, it's an abysmal, bereft film industry that is making trashy films because of its total refusal to read new screenplays by anyone outside its closed shop.

Speaking from an objective perspective as an outsider how often are 'actors' merely dismissed as superficial, and in many instances with obvious justification? Yet some accrue great reputations garnered over long and illustrious careers in a tough industry based on public aspects of their lives and sustained by the opinions of credible people who probably know them best. In this interview Michael Douglas talked nothing but good sense based on sound principles illustrated by his simple yet forthright observations. The last President of the United States of America who came from a background in entertainment was Ronald Reagan and based on his Administration's achievements he, was a better than average President! Although indications are that Michael Douglas could make an equally good if not even better President than Reagan. Anybody could be forgiven for wondering how the burden of remedying the political insanity currently afflicting the US could be inflicted on much less accepted by any ostensibly good person? Yet America obviously has increasingly urgent need of good government as opposed to appalling quantities of sordidly and all too often obsequiously self-serving muck, currently being projected upon the general public with the intensity of a jet-engine exhaust by some deplorably biased if not prejudicial journalistic hyperbole. In my opinion Michael Douglas' participation alongside Kathleen Turner and Danny Davito made 'Romancing the Stone' a memorably great movie. (I'm going to revisit it on DVD now)

Why are young Australians now pronouncing the letter Z as "ZEEE" instead of saying "ZED"??? Too much American TV exposure surely . Shows such as "Sesame Street" to streamed stuff.
@RDDHopsing77Ай бұрын
She said "zeeee" because that is what Michael would have said when referring to his wife. ie Michael Beeee and Katherine Zeeeeee. When young Australians start saying "Zeeeeeeebra" then it's time to worry.
