My late father told me a story about how nice this man was in the 1970s. My dad was a sky cab and used to derelict his work to talk to every celebrity he ran into. At the time MD was only TV celeb so my nutty Dad stopped him to talk about his father Kirk's career since that his contemporary and cinematic hero. Michael couldn't be more gracious. So much so that my dad's boss was looking for him cause dad wasn't where he should be so Michael ran back to where he was yelling out his name alerting him that he was looking for him Man! My dad used to make me laugh.

Loved the show. It's a part of history I knew nothing about and found it enthralling. Stunning Cinematography, costume and set design. Every frame looked like an artist's painting. Not a show for stupid people and France and Versailles is simply breathtaking.

It's maybe a slight exaggeration, since there have always been politicians, since the dawn of time, that are in it for their own gains, but I do agree with his point that there is supposed to be a sort of reverence and dignity of the position based on the fact that it is, in fact, a serving position.
