mistracy39 very true, what happened to the twist and shout era , the 60’s, 70’s and even the 80’s. White people were blasting music from cars then but because now it’s black people blasting what he calls “rap crap”, he wants to take somebody’s life.

It angers me so much that he is the one who initiated the encounter by parking there. If you didn’t want to hear the music why would you park right next to them? Why couldn’t you just move your car? He killed someone’s child. For nothing!!! That’s unforgivable. I’m glad he is doing life in jail now.

This dude was virtually a grown-up incel... A sad powerless weakling. We can't say for sure if he would have done this to a car full of metal-blaring white boys, but racially biased or not this is a disgusting event. The police, the state, and the jury got this right. Not a silver lining but at least there was some justice. My heart goes out to the parents.

Some guy has a gun, knows he can shoot someone if he's in danger, is ready to use when he thinks he's in danger, picks a fight with someone who could possibly be dangerous knowing that he's a gun that he can shoot if he's in danger... maybe without that gun, he wouldn't have been so brazen to tell a stranger what to do... and he wouldn't have been so brazen to use his gun unnecessarily because he always knew it was there if he needed it, etc. Having a gun causes some people to be on power trips and lives are lost because of it.

I believe Micheal dunn was either straight up lying as it relates to his so called fear, or he had a flash back of the movie boys in the hood, where the guy with the black glasses brandishes a shot gun out of the window of a red car. Jordan's father said it best, when he said Micheal Dunn perception of young black men who listen to rap music is that they're evil or dangerous, which isn't the case at all. white teens listen to as much rap music as young black teens do...

Hi everyone!!! I do understand that alcohol was in this scenario...Mr. Dunn was coming from a wedding. But I can also see that the attitude of disrespect by turning the music on back again is an issue. It wasn't enough reason for shooting anyone, but, Gosh!!! You at the U.S., with all do respect have lots of issues with racism and criminality, just as in all countries, but, in a way, your case is different and more complicated. Freedom of speech, doesn't mean do whatever you want or express yourself the way you feel like it, despite others opinion. The respect of everyone's rights equals peace. Both parts, disrespectfully acted wrong. Unfortunately a young life was taken. And Law, acts just to avoid more difficulties by giving life sentences, just like if this was the solution. Well, you guys in the U.S. , have a huge amount of issues to deal with, May the Lord help us parents to teach our children respect for others rights, forget about threatening others life. God bless the U.S. R.S.M.

he didnt call the police to report it until the next morning. No weapons of any sort were found in the car or on the persons of the deceased even though he claimed a shotgun was pointed at him.His own wife even admitted he never even mentioned the teenagers having a weapon of any sort to her. he also got out of his car to confront them and started the argument while knowing he had a gun. Imagine if he just didnt say anything and just waited in the car for his wife to come back. Thats why its murder. you should really look into the facts the case

Dunn and his wife should have gone elsewhere instead of stopping at a convenience store where a bunch of angry & disrespectful Black teens were hanging out in the parking lot - he would have been fine. They had to stop there to get wine, parking right next to the Black teens who were there bothering everybody that night with their loud annoying rap music blasting in the speakers. Parking next to those violent Teens who were looking for a fight was Dunn's big mistake. It should have been self defense, really - Dunn was fearing for his life there as Jordan Davis was getting out of the car to assault him. The criminals probably stashed their weapons and drugs too as they circled the block after the incident so they could blame Dunn for the whole thing. Dunn never had any problems with the law before, nothing. Shame a good man is in jail now for defending himself.

Mary Reed Hey, he had to keep shooting until the threat was gone, I just saw 2 nice documentaries about this case - you can't take any chances when it's time to protect yourself. It's a shame I wasn't on that jury 'cause I would have voted NOT GUILTY all the way. Self defense, right there, he was in fear for his life that night. Police didn't try to look for the violent teens' guns until much later, no wonder they couldn't find them. This was lousy police work. I think the cops and prosecutors were scared there would be riots so they just had to charge Dunn no matter what.

Honey Wavves Jordan Davis' parents should apologize to Dunn and his family - They are responsible too for what happened, really. Their son was a violent angry Thug who didn't like that a White man was telling them (Respectfully) to turn the music down and stop bothering everybody in the parking lot - that's what started the whole thing. Davis is responsible and If the parents had raised him better, Dunn wouldn't have had to use Deadly force to defend himself against Davis and his Gang that night. There would have been no problems at all.
