what technique is recommended when the dog does not position themselves properly when using a lure. For example, my dog does not heel straight next to my leg, he has a tendency to be a little crooked. I can't get him to follow my hand to straighten out is back side, he just stares at me. Would I just straighten him out using a leash or by hand?

You want to feed your dog a good high Meat content like Orijen, or Evo, these have 80-75% meat and the smell helps the drive motivation. Open a fresh 30lb bag of Orijen fish and your whole house smell like a fish house. Never stave your dog to get this drive to climb, big mistake with your puppies. You need to hand feed one piece at a time so you need a good size, good smelling food, Not Treats. Treats are Flour. Thanks for sharing !
