Alumni from Duquesne University's Department of Psychology have gone on to change the world around them through Duquesne's unique training in psychology as a human science. In our "Continuing Stories" series, faculty interview alumni about their time at Duquesne; they look back at their time at Duquesne, describe how the education shaped their own work, and provide words of wisdom for the next generation. In this interview, department Chair Elizabeth Fein interviews Michael Flaherty (Ph.D. 1990) about his work transforming the science of addiction treatment, by listening to patients and focusing on recovery.
