it's been 16 years since Michael asked "ten years from now is anybody gonna bother? yell fire!" and here I am in 2022 still screaming.

2022....April. Every note, every beat, every lyric of this song, which I've known for years, is pumping loud on my speakers and has gain more meaning and power with time. Righteous fury pumping through my veins....

Yo fire album change my life I met Michael at Mt Jam Hunter Mt NY 2009 every one of his songs is the truth. My son was conceived the last night of the festival while the almond brothers were taking stage for the end. One of the best times of my life. I hope he never stops performing he brings so much hope to millions of people across the globe

Got to meet this man. took a picture with me and my girlfriend. I told him agape love to you my brother and he proceeded to look at me and say that's the deepest love and I just smiled and felt a warmth in my heart. most people I ask had never heard of agape love. It is what the Bible describes as the strongest most purest deepest love there is. It says agape love is the love JEHOVAH GOD above has for all his children. Somehow I knew that he would know this and I was so blown away. my girl told him thanks for all that you are and he bent down an kissed her forehead and said thank you soul sister. thank you Michael for being such a kind and generous person. thank you for bringing awareness to love and kindness singing of brotherly love singing of how evil war is and that we are ALL children of the most high. HUMAN BEINGS MATTER. GOD IS TO BIG FOR ONLY ONE NATION. thank you brother. In these critical times that are fast approaching an end we need more beautiful souls like this bringing us together and singing and praising JAH. Hopefully will meet again someday my friend. by the way the picture is my profile.

I love the story. He seems like the kind of person I'd imagine him to be. You seem like a good person for recognizing that too- and for teaching me about agape love. Keep spreading the good vibes brother

love this! I met him in 08 at Rothbury. after his short set in the think tank tent, we were seated right up front when throngs of people rushed to the rails to maybe get a pic or somehting...my wife and i stood on the outskirts of the crowd watching when his manager said it was time for him to go. he started walking out of the side right past us and he stopped his manager and said hold up, these folks were standing so patiently...then he hopped the rail gave my wife a big hug and i was able to snap a pic of the three of us and i thanked him for his wonderful gift of music. right then he gave me a hug i will never forget. but thats not all, the next morning we got up for a run around the festival site, around 8am ish and he was cruising around in a golf cart with another person and he drove over to us and stopped us to say hello and he actually remembered our names. it was pretty damn cool, to say the least. he's clearly a genuine guy who is grateful for his fans. not many in this world like him.

It was a big deal when this song was released; anti-war sentiment was being suppressed in the media, and it was a very discouraging time for those of us who opposed the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hearing this on the radio in amongst all the soporific schlack being shoved down our throats was energizing and important.
