Man i tell ya Micheal Irvin is a special man not because of his ability to play football, but because is not ashamed of his faith nor his emotions, we need more men like him and Dieon Sanders to come along an show people that this gift of talent the Lord has given you should be acknowledged while giving God the glory at the same time and im so proud that Deion and Michael arent timid in prasing the Lord. Much admiration to you brothers for making the name of Jesus noticed amongst the masses.

I'm a hardcore 49er fan, and I have many reasons to hate the Cowboys (specially during Irvin's tenure during our rivalry in the 90's), but it's hard not to respect, and love this guy. -He's battled all the unthinkable demons of success, and came out clean on the other side. God bless Michael Irvin, he was always classy.

An inspiring, passionate and understanding man who's will to persevere was forged out of difficult circumstances. If you think doing drugs or committing adultery in any way lessens this mans impact on peoples lives you need to move. the fuck. on. "look up, get up.....and never give up." - This is powerful beyond measure. To condem a man for his actions without trying to understand that we are a product of the structure we exist in is the act of a coward. If you were at war with an army of 300 million independent, intelligent miracles of life what would you do?....you would let them fight with one another. you would give them reason to hate one another. How can anybody get so infuriated with this mans decisions...yet look past the ruling class who send boys to their death in other countries, rape neighbourhoods, kill innocent civilians...this is trash. this is all utter garbage. We have the unprecedented power to exercise our will and change the future...yet we waste time and energy condemning those for what we deem improper behaviour. Remember; Don't Hate, Educate.

His speech trainer was Arthur Joseph who trains all the movie stars and broadcasters - pretty cool stuff His vocal training is at www.VocalAwareness.com There is an amazing article about this speech on espn.go.com - it won't let me put the link so just search for Michael Irvin and Arthur Joseph on ESPN and you'll find it. It's called - A Trip to the Threshing Floor - written by Eli Saslow.

Thank you. I try to respect others view, but because I care for them I try to share the gospel. The bible says that believers will experience hate and have tough times. There is so much evidence to believe in Christ and God. Plus Christianity is different from every other religion, a personal, loving God. Also, different from every other religion, its claims are testable with prophecies fulfilled and the life of Jesus which many other religions even credit. Those who have ears let them hear

My parents gave me life, and my genes too. I know that your 'god' didn't give me my talents, i don't praise anyone for the success i get, i know i worked hard and put work into it. It doesn't make sense to praise someone else when you were the one who put in all the work. Let me ask you a question, when we fail do you thank 'god' for failing? or do you praise him like you do when you get success?

God is kind and loving, but he is also a Just God. So all who have sinned must be judged accordingly. If a person murders someone does he not have to pay for the crime that he has committed? Truth these days is what is true for one person doesnt have to be truth to another. People believe things because of how they feel and have nothing to back it up.

He's not perfect. No one's claiming he is. But he overcame a lot of adversity to achieve a high amount of success and shockingly people admire that. And you brag about opening up for Van Halen who's known for using drugs, your Seahawks also have had several players busted for using PED's (albeit they're using drugs for a different purpose).

What Does that have to do with his speech?
@baileytui12 жыл бұрын
No, our talents/gifts are not given from 'god' its part of your genes, dedication and mainly hard work. You have to put the effort in to get success. So if your not talented at everything, is that 'god's' will? It's a cowardly way of thinking

In March 1996, Irvin was arrested on charges of cocaine possession at a hotel party celebrating his 30th birthday. After numerous court appearances amid a national media circus, which featured Irvin showing up to court in a full-length mink coat, he pled no contest to the charges and was sentenced to community service, ordered to pay a $10,000 fine, and put on 4-years probation.

There is no point in arguing this point further because it seems to me that we both have a different perspective on God. I believe the God of the Bible is our creator and there is evidence to support that and if you dont believe in Him I dont judge you. But in this life we must find out whats true. All people, myself included, are really selfish and prideful (sin) it is that fact that keeps many people from believing in God because they LOVE themselves so much. May I ask you what you believe?
