For a bit of context, this was in 2017 in Ottawa, Ontario when Michael was being honored with a Governor General's Performing Arts Award, think Kennedy Center Honors except Canadian. Joan actually flew from Texas to Ottawa and back to Texas again in a 24 hour period just to perform this one song with Michael.

I saw an interview recently with Joan Jett. She said she loved working with him on Light of Day and that he was Extremely helpful to her in the movie. (She also said he really does play guitar and is pretty good). They are still friends to this day.

What friendship these two share. Yes I can see they are comfortable with each other. Joan sounds absolutely fantastic. Her voice is still powerful and she puts on an amazing show. As for Michael J. When I have tremors and shaking my hands, it is very difficult something to play (I play piano). I don´t understand how MJF can handl it... I admire him for it. He must have very powerful will to play - it is a love of music... :-)

Absolutely. I'm a writer living with Parkinson's, and it is the love of the craft that allows me to push through all the challenges and type. I make mistakes, but it's through love and determination that I am able to do the work. I imagine it's the same for MJF with playing the guitar.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band actually recorded a band version of this track during the "Born In The USA" sessions on May 25, 1983. I hope it gets released when the "Born In The USA" box set eventually gets released (you know a songwriter is good when the record label releases a box set based on a single album - it's happened already with "Born To Run," "Darkness" and "The River."). It has obviously turned into one his best live songs. It was played throughout most of the 1999/2000 reunion tour.

Written by Bruce Springsteen. Joan Jett can still sing this! 😃 Michael Fox was born in Edmonton. But he moved to Burnaby, BC. In the 1970s and 1980s, I had my chances to meet him in nearby Vancouver but did not. 😥 Other people , Vancouver residents,, I know, did meet him! 😃🇨🇦
