I think that was his intention while writing this song. I don't think it was supposed to be a song about him being tempted to cheat. It's a song of an angel visiting him and showing him how heaven or the other side would be but he refuses because the only thing keeping him here is his kids and girl ( if they used the whole song this would make sense) part of the last verse of the song describes him pulling out his wallet and looking at pictures of his family and girl.

Why is it that so many people actually take their time to comment so much negative about someone who's gone home to glory? The great thing about this song is it’s really nearly a 40 year old song written and performed by a huge pop band from the 70’s called “America”. I remember when I first heard “Place with no Name”, I kept saying, “Dang, I’ve heard this song before, I know I have”. The original song is called “Horse with no Name”. Michael loved the song so much, he wanted to record it. “America” gave him permission to re-arrange the song and put new lyrics to it. I think he did a phenomenal job with the song, made it up 2 date & wrote some great lyrics. It’s sad this album didn’t get the recognition it deserved. There are some great tracks on it. Sorry, but the video sucks. It would have been so much better had Michael been alive when they made it.. Long live the King of Pop
