In honor of "Lady Sings The Blues" anniversary a couple of days ago I made this video of Michael Jackson singing Happy. Although not on the soundtrack Happy was the love theme of the movie and I feel it doesn't get the love or appreciation it deserves

It's a great song. Thanks for sharing it. I must have watched Lady Sings the Blues when I was very young. In fact I know I did see it, but I can't remember anything about it. I'm not a fan of musicals at all, never was, but I came across this song in its own right. (Haha, I just remember someone asking me what Lady Sings the Blues was like and I just replied, "Well, it's a musical", as if that said everything I could say as a young boy who never understood musicals.) I played this Michael Jackson 7 inch a lot when I was very young, six or seven years old. I can't remember if he released it as a single or if it was released as a B-side on one of his very early 80s singles here in the UK. I don't think I remember it being in the charts, which I followed closely when I was a young boy, but anyway I ended up with it somehow on a much played 7 inch. (Could have been a Double-A side single, I'm just thinking, where Happy may have been in the shade of the other song in radio and TV play.)
