"Another Part of Me", "We Are Here To Change The World" and "Can You Feel It", except that these songs sound more hopeful and uplifting. "Jam" is the bridge between the hopeful songs and the human failure songs. It's an urgent call to action that humans must act now or pay for the consequence of their self-destructive ways. He song's while deceptively upbeat sonically, are countered by the the lyrically dark themes he expressed. MJ was the master of paradox, in wanting us to dance and enjoy the rhythms, he still wanted to sent a substantive message co-currently. Lyrical Dissonance was an avenue he utilized effectively to convey those contradictions.

Someone watching over a battlefield (or watching the destruction on the news) and him desperately trying to hold onto what little hope he has left for humanity (please, be not always this). I feel like he wrote this song after watching the news all day. It gives me that feeling I feel when I, myself, watch the news, so perhaps. It's so sad but so moving in a way that you can feel the struggle of emotions he's feeling. Seeing so much destruction and pain and death and amongst it all, holding onto hope that someday it might get better. But it just gets worse. You can feel the hope slowly slipping away in his voice as he sings and finally leaves him in two bitter words at the very end. Such an emotive singer!
