The overcompressed snare, the stab sounds, the arrangement, MJ's ad libs, Teddy and his New Jack flavour... JUST GENIUS!!!!❤❤❤❤

👉What’s the biggest key to success in music that you’ve learnt working with MJ? Brad Sundberg’(Worked with MJ 1985-2002): I think anyone who came from the MJ camp will tell that there is no substitute for hard work.Michael used to show up two hours early for every single vocal session just to warm up. No other artist I am aware of does that, nor has that type of self-discipline.Also - mistakes/accidents can be incredible gifts.Be flexible and open to new ideas, even mistakes.They can often make a song far more interesting than what you originally intended. 👉There was and is always so much press about Michael Jackson. What do you think was the most surprising thing about MJ if a fan was to have met him in real life? Brad Sundberg’(Worked with MJ 1985-2002):That's a tough one because I spend so many hours "introducing" Michael to my guests, but I think the strongest word that comes to mind is grateful. Michael had a great sense of humor, loved his fans, was incredibly musical and talented, but he was also amazingly grateful. He would thank EVERYONE who helped on a project. One time after we installed a train on his ranch, he was riding in the front car and he cautiously asked the operator if he could maybe drive it? The guy laughed and said, "It's YOUR train! Of course you can drive it!!" That's how he was - very unassuming and grateful for everything.

I can't recount how many times I have choreographed complete dance steps trying my hardest to pay tribute in my own way to what I believe is one of the funkiest dance grooves ever created. I think Dangerous is a masterpiece, but definitely has some weak points. Heal the World, Give In To Me, even Black or White is kinda boring. It really tells you something when many of the unreleased cuts (Work That Body, Serious Effect, If You Don't Love Me, She Got It, etc.) would be better off on the album than swept under the rug.
@chrispena81863 жыл бұрын
@@yourfairyking Black and white is ok and I agree. Dangerous is there with thriller.

@@chrispena8186 Almost all of his albums are incredible (though I may be a bit biased). Michael, Xscape, and Invincible are probably his weakest points (Invincible is great, but a bit long and has too many ballads). Other than that, HIStory is fantastic, Off The Wall is solid, Bad is sublime, and, yes, Dangerous and Thriller are both excellent.
@nicksharma82383 жыл бұрын
@@yourfairyking Black or white is not first impressionaly (my own word) the best of them, but after seeing beyond the pop appeal, and really getting into the groove, especially the drum patterns, it is definitely imo a gem. But many tracks are better than BorW on Dangerous. Work That Body is amazing! This though is MJ's most underrated track of all time.
