@@AkahJulius You got that right. I was trying to explain to my son just what MJ meant to someone born in the 80’s. My first album was bad that I got for Xmas. When I was at school he was like God and some mythical figure. You just don’t get stars like that no more. My parents went to see him at Wembley stadium in 1988 when Princess Diana was there. They were going to see him again in London in 2009 but he never made it unfortunately. MJ is all the best memories of my childhood from dancing with my friends to listening to his music in the car on long drives. I miss them times and even though both my and son and daughter like his music they’ll never fully understand that era and I feel bad for them as the 80’s and 90’s really were the best time to be a kid.

I am the original Drummer and co- creator of the music of Dirty Diana that was developed in 1986 in Seattle WA. We recorded it in London Bridge Studio in Lake Forest Park WA. in 1987. The recording was taken to Los Angeles by another musician that my co- writer trusted, and the musician sold it to Michael Jackson for who knows for how much money! We never heard from him till I moved to Los Angeles and Michael and Quincy had put out the Bad album. As I was driving in Burbank CA. I heard our song on the radio for the first time and tears started rolling down my face. I knew then that we got ripped off! We never got any recognition for our creative juices that we spent months on solidifying this song. The only thing Michael Jackson created on this song was the lyrics.

The same happened to me. I was born in 91 and my parents listened to Michael Jackson a lot and watched his videoclips on TV. I would watch too and got fascinated by his dance moves. My parents even used the Black or White vídeo to explain racism to me, when I was 3. I had a little black buddy in my kindergarden and it was the first time I'd seen a person of color, so I was a little frightened. He was the only one there and on top of it he was a bully and would hurt me. My parents showed me the vídeoclip and said: "You see Michael? He is dancing with many different people, with different skincolours. Your friend comes from a place where people have this color." I got less frightened and the next day my dad talked him into being my friend and he stop being so mean. He then kissed me in the ear to make peace (too proud to kiss on the cheek😆) and became my protector in kindergarden 😆I'm almost 30 and still adore Michael Jackson!
