I agree with what Jefferey Daniels said about Michael Jackson dancing inside the music, being a workaholic and a James Brown type of funky! No one can dance like Michael Jackson!

No, he actually did practice and rehearse what he was going to do for the performance. Michael talks about it in his autobiography Moonwalker. He was distraught right after he got off stage and was backstage crying because he felt that he messed up. He was planning to do the moonwalk, spin 4 times, and stay in the toe-stand for 3 seconds. He only held it for one second. He ended up calming down when everyone praised him and thought he did perfect. He was the only one that knew he messed up, so afterwards he felt better. Jermaine isn't as reliable a source as he claims to be. Michael really didn't want much to do with him after 1991.
@LudeandLude12 жыл бұрын
The moonwalk was not a dance being used on the streets. The backslide was the name and it veried from the moonwalk in that you don't use your toes to push, instead you push on the ball of your feet. Michael took that and combined with the walking in place motion from the French mime, created the moonwalk by using his toes. So the moonwalk, is in fact, Michael's original move.

No matter what anybody says, Micheal Jackson made MTV what it is today, and would be angry that the MTV now has lost its way. It can have its reality shows, tv shows, I don't care, but Music was always first and last on MTV.

Jeff Daniels may know the basic mechanics of performing the moonwalk yet his execution of it falls rather short. He just doesn't look right doing it. I think it's because he isn't pushing off closer towards his toes, he is using the ball of his foot more, plus his posture and arm swinging looks amateurish.
