By our courage, our spirit, and the positive outlook. It's our job to make the world a better place, and I believe that we can, there are so many people actually working on that goal! Michael wanted that, so let's make his dream come true. There's a book called "Factfulness: Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World". I haven't read it myself yet, but I'm planning to, so I can't give any specific recommendation or review, but many people tell that it helped them a lot, so perhaps reading that book can help to gain a better understanding of the world and ways to change it for better.
