I remember this interview when it aired, I was an avid watcher of entertainment tonight in 1983 and was always on the lookout for the next Michael Jackson interview

Michael's connection to the fans at large was always something special and the way he was gratefull and caring was always in a way that not many people in the showbiz do or afford to take time to. He would always, *always* thank his fans. Even if it was overwhelming him a lot, he always knew it came from a place of love and returned it in kind in his own way. And in response to him not thinking much on stage and just feeling the music, that's actually something he spoke about a lot. He'd say that many dancers made the mistake of counting their steps, instead of feeling the music and responding to it. A lot of his backup dancers, especially those of the last planned live shows, have gone on to comment about the ways he made his selections of who to pick and it's fascinating to hear. Also in full agreement about this interview being one of the interesting ones, there are unfortunately no few that are... less so.

There's only one interview I can think of ATM where Michael actually seems like he's enjoying himself and it's the MTV interview from 1999 which you'll eventually get to I assume. It's probably the only interview Michael did as an actual adult where the interviewer only asked him about his work and his art and never asked the usual typical questions like about his personal life, his sex life, or didn't bring up any controversies or drama

This is so sweet he was such a kind and sweet heart person . So nice answers by him. He answered every question she asked very gently and politely and intelligently. He was such a natural person and artist . And I also love his style so much because he is known also as a style icon at the time. And i love your channel logo t.shirt by the way. The interviews with Michael in the 80s were conducted by a media that wasn’t vicious toward him. In 1985 he purchased the ATV catalog and signed with Sony in 1990 and all of his interviews in the 90s and beyond for the most part were done by very malicious journalists and that was no accident. I won’t get into why here….. Also, Michael loved his fans and was always so approachable that his fans who met him always commented on how kind he was. He would order pizzas and send pillows out to fans who slept outside of his hotels when he would tour. He was doing things like this for fans up until he passed in 2009. Great reaction as usual!

Oh yeah i love this interview❤❤ Nice reaction seph 🌹and here is some notes and facts about mj 1 ) about the shades: Michael is tooo shy so he put shades most of times during interviews to make him more comfortable especially in thriller and bad eras because he didn't like enyone to see his eyes. 2) about the fans : he really loved his fans so so much and didn't have problem if they touch him he even made a song in every tour when he can share the stage with a random fan of the audience and believe me some of girls went too far but he was a gentleman. 3) he was very spiritual and loved to meditate and thank god for everything and never gave himself the credit for what he had done which i find pretty amazing. 4) about the smile : i want u to search on Google about the most beautiful smile in the world . The last time i searched it was him his laugh is so contagious and innocent. 5) about the stage: i remember interview of him when he said that the biggest mistake that today artists do when they think about the move ( 1 an 2 an 3 an 4) they must make their body feel the music and be apart of it . 6) and finally about the interview in general: yeah it was great as the interviewer asked proper questions but u can wait untill the last 80s and 90s to see the most ridiculous questions about everything except the showmanship and his genius and even though he was too polite with them 💔 I hope u like these ones ....

IM glad people see there old interviews as the Carpenters and particular Karen are so unique. There are other greats like the Stylistics and Jackie Wilson etc. I continue to say this man is Music and was a supernova of an artist. People can copy his moves or branch and improve on even more but we all know where it came from

MJ couldn’t help it he had lupus dat made him prone to plastic surgery no your stuff before commenting on the person also he only had a few nose jobs btw he didn’t look unnatural he always was beautiful inside & out so rude.

@@Milkers777 Dude, I know he had vitiligo and lupus which was confirmed in the autopsy and he didn't have that many nosejobs but each one brought quite huge changes. To me his finest nose shape was after his first (1979) and second (1981) surgery. Later on at some point his nose became too narrow and too small and lost its natural shape. Because he couldn't accept his appearance and was teased by his father about his nose and also was a perfectionist he could never fully accept his looks (interview with Oprah from 1993). I've been observing him in various pictures for years and there's one thing I know for sure - you don't change a shape of your nose several times purely for medical reasons. Saying that, I know he was a great humanitarian and I'll always stand up for him
