Sometimes he did pass out! I remember I would hear on the news from time to time, since Off The Wall on up! He would be hospitalized, but show up the next night as if nothing happened. He always said he hated touring, except for seeing the fans, especially when he was older.

“Things I do For You” is a song by The Jacksons from the late 70’s. You can find some vids right here on KZbin of them performing it in the late 70’s. It’s one of my fave songs from them.

He played a lot of Jacksons songs on this show because him and his brother's didn't perform anywhere outside of the US on the victory tour in 83/84 so he felt that they missed out. And he hadn't figured out how to perform songs from Bad like Smooth Criminal until the second leg of the Bad tour (round the time of the Wembley show)

The Victory Tour was a few years earlier than the Bad Tour, however he didn’t have much time (I think due to the time it took to record the album, plus other projects like Captain EO and We Are The World), to put a new show together so this isn’t far off the set list / arrangement of the Victory Tour. Hence why there’s more Jacksons group tracks in it than you’d probably expect since he had enough of a solo back catalogue to only do them in a medley like he does with the J5 songs.

To be fair the Jackson’s catalogue(Epic era like destiny and triumph albums were two of the Jackson’s best albums as a group and Michael wrote most of the songs himself or co wrote with randy or Jackie)

Cant wait for part 2, this was so much fun! Keep it going you baddies :-) Michael was really possessed during these shows, totally into it! Love these lyrics: "Always wanting something for nothing , "Especially what they don't deserve" Reaching in my pocket, I just got to stop it"

Its the BAD Tour, this was recorded in Japan (the Asian portion of the tour was quite different setlist wise to the European tour (Leg 2) which followed in 1988 and in some opinions a better show than Leg 1...E.G Wembley Stadium, London), it was effectively his first solo tour and 'Things I Do For You' is a 'Jacksons' song so if your not familiar with the Jacksons material (its got the 80s Funk/Disco feel) besides the staple hits then this will be new to you...as it appeared it was to you. Also note Sheryl Crow on background Vocals... ; ) Jennifer Battern on Guitar toured with MJ on BAD, Dangerous and History. Sheryl Crow was replaced on the Dangerous tour in '92 by Siedah Garrett who wrote Man in the Mirror and also sings on I Just Cant Stop Loving You ; )

The 1987 leg was similar to the Victory tour in terms of setlist in addition to performing thriller for the first time live as well as IJCSLY and Bad as they were the singles released at the time of the first leg and performed in Japan and Australia(also initially set to perform in New Zealand but things fell through) . the 2nd leg(the 1988 Leg) introduced more songs from Bad is not just European Leg, It was throughout the United States, then Europe and Tokyo Japan too.

michael was not just a simple singer, he wrote songs that will be remembered in history. That is Michael Jackson's big difference for singers As President Bush said, "There is Michael Jackson and the rest." Michael went down in history with songs that are legends. sorry, but he does have the title of biggest and best in history.

Off the wall is such an energetic and postive song and in fact the whole album is such a joy. All its messages were happiness and party and great vibez and love infused not to mention funky and disco. No wonder he sang off the wall with so much umph and joy. His later songs carried more haunting and deeper messages in my opinion but still charged a thrill of a concert 😉

its the First leg of the bad tour, the 1987 Leg performed in Japan and Australia, the setlist in the 1987 leg is similar in many ways to the jacksons victory tour with the introduction of Bad's first two singles, IJCSLY and Bad, and Thriller performing for the first time. Personally I think Another Part of Me and man in the Mirror should have started in the first leg that would have been perfect. the Victory tour was 3 years prior, in 1984. Once the second leg hit in 1988 he added more songs from the Bad Album into the setlist

Victory tour happened in the mid 80s. Bad tour occurred in the late 80s. The dangerous tour occurred in the early 90s and was cut short over the child molestation allegations which was settled out of civil court. The history tour happened in the mid to late 90s.

The victory tour was in 1983-84 after thriller the triumph tour was in 1981-82 I think I’m not sure and everything after that from what I’m aware of is the bad tour, sucks he never went on a thriller tour but it would’ve been on the same years as victory. And bad tour ended in like 88-89. So everything in Michael prime years were after 1982.

He usually sang LIVE. But your voice is weaker from the midpoint of the tour to the end. Sometimes he had to lip sync. So they were always ready for it. This is all discussed before the show that night. His technique is so good, and he took such good care of his voice that he lasted longer than most. However, I’ve heard LIVE recording in which he sounds terrible! He always said touring puts him through hell.
