I actually brought my dads tobacco pipe in 1st grade and yes it was tobacco pipe because he used to smoke pipes and cigars before i was born. But the teacher still took it away after show and tell and told my mom. Which at the time i didnt see anything wrong with what id done. I’m sure you guys know now - but the Orpheum theatre is pretty close to where you guys were :) all those old theaters are so beautiful in downtown. Especially the ace theatre. I also did Rocky horror at the Rialto for a long time. It’s so beautiful in there. I miss it.

BTW I agree with you. I went to LA in 2019 and visited most of michaels haunts Soto speak. If you ever go back I recommend neverland, his house in Encino ( both are guarded) , Forest Lawn, his wax figures, also last Vegas is a MJ hot spot! The guy who owns the thriller house is quite a nasty person. ( my own experience).

I'm a HUGE MJ fan and when I flew from the UK to LA for the first anniversary of his death,I went and tracked down every single one of these locations. It was so surreal for me being on the exact same street where that iconic dance scene of Michael and the zombies took place,I kept saying to myself,I can't believe I'm actually here,and the same for when I saw the house and the theater too. It was just so incredible. Just a couple of FYIs for you. Thriller is a SHORT FILM,not a video. Its 14 minutes long. Michael didn't make videos,he made mini movies because he hated the video concept. The girl was called OLA RAY not Enola Gay and where the Rialto theater is,is just a couple streets away used in the 1978 Halloween movie
