So, is this like a selection of pre-made sounds that they're just using to make the music from? Because, I wonder how good it might sound if someone specially created the sounds specifically for this track and make sure they were of highest and cleanest quality possible, like removing the crackling that's in there sometimes. It still sounds really good regardless, but I just wonder how good it could actually get.

It's sounds far closer to the original than Genesis version, but it's also a little buzzy/crackly at times. The Genesis version sounds like it's coming from a toy games console by comparison though--and that's not a compliment.

Ruby Williams Anti UTTP Genesis has some sweet FM synthesis. Those fit very well with MJ's music. SNES has just muffled samples, which are very outdated nowadays.
