This tour would have been so incredible for anyone that would have witnessed. Something that struck me in 2009 as a young man and as I’m getting older, is how incredible his dancing and voice held up to his own level at that age for this tour, it is indiscriminate from his earlier performances. It’s amazing.

It would have been the most anticipated return to the stage of all time... talking about Michael Jackson is not just referring to a character on stage who dances, sings... he was also behind the composition, production, conducting... he was genuinely the king of entertainment, blessed are those who were ever able to see him live. It's a shame that today, in these times (yes, I'm talking about my generation), many "artists" who are considered so devalued by "marketing" and music really don't give the slightest percentage of the stature of this legend. "King of Pop", your legacy will always endure and that title is and will only be yours.

Without a doubt, this song along with Earth Song would have been one of the best performances, in my view. A great black and white video, interesting, classic attire, lots of energy and the return of a big star. I really would have loved to see it! - "This is It, and see you in July... " :')
@mrpussinboots42523 жыл бұрын
It would have been a repeat of the history tour with slower moves. Jackson didnt progress and evolve his records and onstage performance. Most of the time he ran through the same choreography and dance beats. If you've seen it once you've seen them all. That's why the 1995 one night only would have been phenomenal since his songs would have had a whole new fresh approach to them.
@fmjp50633 жыл бұрын
@@mrpussinboots4252 I tend to agree with you for the most part. I know this is a very popular opinion but I think that the HWT should have been like the HBO shows with more songs from the HIStory album (like childhood or Tabloid Junkie). However, for TII I understand why he with usual choreographic/style choices for songs like smooth criminal, billie jean and the classic MJ songs that fans know. My biggest critique of MJ was how almost nervous he was to change things up. I don't blame him for not changing like Billie Jean, but it would have benefited him more to try new things for more choreographed number like smooth criminal or thriller. I know all the HBO rehearsals were filmed, I think it would be cool if they edited it together and made a TII type movie for the shows because they would have been amazing and new.
@alandejesusaguilarmartinez57693 жыл бұрын
@CG In that you are right, it would have slowed down the choreography a little more, but for a 50-year-old man to dance to that rhythm is still something spectacular! Or not? It was obvious that because of his condition and his problems he was not going to be able to do a choreography like in 1996-1997 (History Tour), but it was still fabulous that a man who went through many problems and was not in good health moved at that pace.
@mrpussinboots42523 жыл бұрын
@@fmjp5063 I dont like the small minor changes to songs such as heal the world either. It sounded so beautiful on the dangerous tour, theres a small sequence of a dreamy whistle sound before the song kicks in which was scraped for the history tour. Some people prefer the way history tour sounded but I have to disagree. I think the lack of live vocals that came with the HWT was another major disappointment. He failed to recapture the magic that was present for his previous tours, thats my take anyway. I think with history tour jacksons priority was to make it more so visually appealing with huge set pieces such as the ending of black or white and the tank which rolls out onto the stage in earth song. The music and choreography didnt move on either and the tweaks that was introduced wasn't all that impressive, if anything it regressed. I think the big plus from Tii was the reintroduction of older songs such as dirty diana. The intrusmental released is so gritty and dark! It would have been interesting the approach he took to these kind of songs since the main stays would have been a rehashing for the most part. Hopefully more footage leaks soon of jackson rehearsing. Apparently he rehearsed several times a day for weeks before he collapsed so the footage is there.
@mrpussinboots42523 жыл бұрын
@@alandejesusaguilarmartinez5769 Well from this video it's a mixture of 3 different rehearsal dates. The stand out being from the 23rd with the white tuxedo jacket and fedora however we know he was only as energetic from the ephedrine. If you look closely the rehearsal in the red pants hes standing around alot just tapping his heel and pointing. Hardly anything to get me out my seat. It's still okay nevertheless but my reaction is more subdued... Again I wish TII would have included more variation to the choreographys. The way threatened was added to thriller is a prime example.
