Great Reaction. Out of context is looks wild today. But the premise of the video was MJ was trying to be like the other guys on the street (gangster) to get the girl to like him until the old man in the video told him to "be himself" and so he starts singing and dancing instead of trying to look "cool".

Fun fact: the first time they filmed the scene where Michael yells out "You knock me off my feet, baby!" EVERYONE on set completely froze.

@@ReactToTheWorld Here's another fun fact: some of the guys in the video are members of the Crips gang and there's a funny picture where they got Michael to put up gang signs.

Regarding this music video concept not being considered "normal" in the 1980's, well, Michael Jackson WASN'T "normal" artiscally at all. Some things considered "normal" today are only perceived as such because folks like Michael, The Beatles or Elvis started doing them decades ago. And these absolutely iconic entertainers did such things so amazingly and perfectly in their own ways that they not only truly shocked society then, but actually transformed it into one that evolved to accept them as "normal", even though not necessarily "usual". A practical example: at first, it's perfectly "normal" to expect this very music video to be "happy-go-lucky", "sunshine and rainbow" etc., but, because it's Michael Jackson (the "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time", according to the Guiness World Records), what you get instead is... THIS! That's not just totally mind-blowing, it's simply game-changing in terms of the whole Music Industry (as it was indeed, since LOTS of other videos and movies tried to emulate what MJ did here since it was originally released, in 1987). Actual music videos that are not just random "fake" performances of the songs played in background are only a thing nowadays because of Michael Jackson and true pieces of art, like the videos of "Thriller", "Billie Jean", "Beat It", "Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Leave Me Alone", "Speed Demon", "Black Or White", "Remember The Time", "Who Is It", "Jam", "In The Closet", "Earth Song", "Scream", "They Don't Care About Us" (both "Brazil" and "Prison" versions), "Stranger In Moscow", "Childhood", "Ghosts" and "You Rock My World", amongst others, whether one like (or is "happy" with) them or not. As a HUGE Michael fan, both as an entertainer (the absolute GOAT) and as a person (one of the greatest humanitarians that have ever lived), I REALLY felt like I had to make all of this clear. Having said that, it was a GREAT reaction video, and I hope you guys keep reacting to more MJ, particularly to his live performances, such as the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards (FULL), the 1988 Grammy Awards (FULL) and his concert in Munich, Germany, from 1997, during the "HIStory World Tour" (specifically the song called "Earth Song" - it can easily bring tears to one's eyes).

This was my favorite MJ track til i turned like 40. Im a cryin bitch these days and The Earth Song is my favorite now, but this one is still close behind.

According to Bad 25, it was actually planned for Michael and the actress (Tatiana Thumbtzen) to kiss at the end, but the director had told the actress to don’t kiss him. The actress also mentioned that she could sense a minty scent from Michael’s breath, meaning that he was prepared for the kissing scene. But fortunately Michael & Tatiana did kiss, on stage during a performance of “The Way You Make Me Feel” at Madison Square Garden in 88’. Which unfortunately led to her being fired.
